Forum URL: (private) So a friend of mine is getting the Error 520 spit at them whenever they try to post. They would've posted here if they could, but it prevented them here. It let them post once in a test thread, but not anywhere meaningful. I'd done a quick search to see what the error was, and I found this thread: support.proboards.com/thread/657654/error-code-520However it seems like it was something done on your end that resolved the issue, rather than an instruction given to the user. At least that's all I could glean from the interaction. Or perhaps it was simply something that needed time to sort itself out, I couldn't really begin to say. I just wanted to see if I could help by bringing it to your attention. Thanks for your time! Their accounts are @ alexei and @ lars* on the linked site, and possibly a few others are theirs. *OOPS! All I can say is what they've given me: A few of our members on the formerly listed site live in the same geographical region, and their service hasn't been interrupted. The afflicted user is mostly using mobile, possibly from a work environment, I can't be too sure. Actually I think they must've tried both by now, scratch that last bit. Ray ID's are only subtly different, I don't know what they even are though. I'm sorry, I'm not sure what kind of information would be helpful. Thank you for your help. Attachments:

Hi,
For any user who is experiencing an issue on a mobile device, please have them try Wi-Fi (if they're using wireless data) or wireless data (if they're using Wi-Fi) and see if that makes any difference for them. They may also want to try out a different browser and see if that makes a difference.

They said it took awhile before it finally spit out the error message. Sounds like they only use wifi so they can't try using data it seems. They were asleep so they weren't able to respond. As of their most recent attempt they can't even connect apparently.Scratch that, they connected and got the same error code. IIRC you guys operate Mon-Fri ??-5PM Pacific so I doubt there'll be response soon but that's where we're at. Thank you for being very helpful. I'm not sure what it might be that's going on but hopefully my pal can hang on. Or with any luck the internet gods that be will deign them with a sudden breakthrough. Until then, thanks a bunch.
As of 03:17 AM Eastern Time, they've managed to get a post through. Something about turning on/off a VPN or something... I'm guessing they have something weird 'cause they work from home... I'unno...
I'm gonna direct them to make their own thread if more stuff happens, but I hope it's all over and done with.Or it'll happen right away again at 03:22 AM ET and everything is a lie. orz
My friend pointed out this thread is pretty much the same as hers (oddly enough they likened it to this post too) and they are also from the Philipines. They also gave a ton more screenshots of the error page, but unless you want each individual Ray ID the feedback is pretty much the same across the board. Attachments:

One of my members is having similar difficulties - she PMd me:
I can't post anything unless it is a 1-2 lines only. I keep getting the message that Proboards is experiencing problems. Is this true for you and the others?
I originally got the message "We are having difficulties at proboard, etc...please report to support forum" or words to that effect. No, it's " We are having difficulties at proboard, etc" - the usual page when we have had some problems in the past. I also tried logging out and then logging back in. I could do that -- but problem persists.
This member is located in The Philippines, if that makes a difference. (most members are US, but there are a few in AU and other places)
No other members have reported similar problems.
What should I tell her?

There is an unknown connection issue between Cloudflare and the origin web server. As a result, the web page can not be displayed. Ray ID: 59bccf1989dd60ca
The message is longer - but it would not post. I will try to post 2 lines at a time.
Oops - I lost it. From what I recall, it said it was error # 520. Cloud fare location is Manila

I'd say a little more than tentatively that, at this time, things are functioning as intended.
Cannot say if that is the same for the other afflicted user, though.
