Gene Hunt, I reviewed that user's account. Unfortunately there's been an intermittent issue with that user's email provider accepting emails from us. We are working to get it all sorted. Since this is a new account would this member happen to have an email address from a different provider they might be willing to use?

His email provider is quite a common one in the UK so a fix would be good as I can imagine this being quite frustrating for new members.

Gene Hunt, it turns out that member's email provider had blocked us. We applied to become unblocked which usually takes about a day for it to process. Though they can try sooner, by Thursday the member should attempt to login again and at the activation prompt, have them click the link to resend the activation email.

Thanks for the update Scott. Unfortunately, this member has responded to me a few hours ago and was quite frank in saying he only had one email address and had no intention of creating another just to join a forum. He also asked for me to remove his details from my forum, which I have done. Thanks again ScottGH.
