I've never really been one to have a lot of jobs in my life. Mostly low ending stocking or cleaning a hospital. I understand some jobs are seen as lesser and others more important.
What really bugs me are the ones that think you're a failure for making an honest living. I dont see how someone can judge a person over choosing to be a dishwasher, or say an all star sports player.
I'm just wondering if you would look down on someone over what they did for work? Be proud of you as a person for having an income is how I see it.

What really bugs me are the ones that think you're a failure for making an honest living. In my view, success and failure aren't binary, there is a gradient. Every life has value just by the sake of it's own existence. There are a multitude of different factors which can be used to determine how successful a person has been that go beyond the size of their paycheck or the amount of wealth they've acquired. How much better (or worse) have you made the world around you, compared to how it would have been, had you not been here? This includes the joy (and grief) you've caused for those closest to you, as well as any contributions you've made which affect the world as whole. I dont see how someone can judge a person over choosing to be a dishwasher, or say an all star sports player. Judging others is often a fool's errand. And each person has a right to choose their own vocation. Besides, I don't know how would be able to compare the accomplishments of a dishwasher to an athlete or artist or musician. The dishwasher provides an important (although often unnoticed) service to the dining experience. Athletes, especially those who go on to become stars, provide enjoyable entertainment for others, with those others often numbering in the millions. Artists and musicians can affect any number of people, depending on their talent and exposure. They can bring beauty to the world. Be proud of you as a person for having an income is how I see it. Having an income is definitely something to be proud of. But if that's the only bar you set, you might be selling yourself short. If you can make greater use of your talents and skills or develop greater skills, so much the better. And there is so much more one can do outside of their working time to add to their tally of success. That's the way I see it. YMMV.

As long as you’re happy and earning enough to fund your lifestyle, don’t worry about what anyone else thinks. You should be proud for earning rather than not working and relying on benefits. That said, don’t let that stop you from aiming for something else if it would make you happier. Whether that’s a job where you get more satisfaction but earn less, or a job where you earn more to fund what makes you happy outside of work. As long as you can afford to live and you’re happy with your choices, you’ll get no judgement from me.

Well still I'd like to know if someone has ever taken a job where they see them as a lesser for it. I know its messed up but some people like that are out there I've only viewed a job as lesser if it was lesser for me. By that I mean like lower than I should go for, or lesser than my abilities. I also see less ability to grow, or move up as lesser. I work for a smaller business than others and often get compared to being a big fish in a small pond, but the pay is competitive. I also grew up with being taught and always adhered to treating the janitor and CEO the same. You never know how hard someone had to work to get were they are and ect.

I dont see how someone can judge a person over choosing to be a dishwasher, or say an all star sports player. Me neither. Whatever makes you happy in life. As long as you earn enough money to cover your personal needs, and you enjoy what you do, that's all that matters.
