Snakeair So this actually happened about 2 years ago but looks like ProBoards was not informed. I never knew him in person and I only found this very recently when digging through links trying to find people to reconnect with. Derek Julian Price April 20, 1980 ~ June 12, 2018 (age 38) www.bradleystow.com/notices/Derek-PriceFacebook: www.facebook.com/snakeairBio from his blog: www.wpoutcast.com/about-us/For those who don't know he has contributed a lot to this forum (much of it the support board when he was here) and was a Global Moderator for a period of time. It's been a while since those days. We had chatted a lot and I'll miss his humour and all the jokes surrounding the bugs boards. Gone too soon... Rest in Peace.

This is terrible news. Many members will not know how immense his contribution to the Support board was, and of course the old bugs sub-board. I learned a lot from him back in the day and he was always very patient and helpful with me even though I was probably very annoying when I first starting trying to help! Tens of thousands of ProBoards admins will have benefitted from his knowledge and friendliness over the years and above all else he was a genuinely good guy.
RIP mate.

This is so sad. He was a great contributor to this forum, and although I never spoke to him much away from it, I always liked him. He had a great sense of humour, and seemed to get on with everyone in GT. I know that his main contribution was in Support, and everyone spoke very highly of the way he helped others, but I knew him in here. Such a nice guy. And he was only 38.
I makes you think a lot about online communities, and what happens to people when they stop posting. Many people have drifted away over the years, and it’s sad that we can go 2 years without knowing that someone has passed away. That said, he hadn’t posted since 2016 and there may not be many left who knew him during his most active phases.

I only interacted with him intermittently, but he was easy to talk to and he was very intelligent. Definitely a sad day to know he has passed. Makes me wonder about all of the others too, Shady....

RIP Snake.
I saw his profile in my contacts list on Linkedin just a few days ago and thought it'd been a while since I'd heard from him. He always seemed down to earth and super helpful.

Oh no, that’s so sad to hear! I’ll add on that I never really personally spoke to him, but I always got a good impression from him, and he seemed like a solid poster. Never had a problem with him. My condolences to his loved ones. ><

Oh, this hurts. I only interacted with him a few times directly, but I always saw him in the support board and around the forum and he was one of the coolest and friendliest people here. He was one of the names I always associated with this forum and I missed seeing him around in more recent years.

Wow. I was in that part of New Jersey just the other day. I had no idea he was practically a neighbor. When people pass away so young, I always want to know how it happened. He was a great person, an intelligent man, and a strong New Jersyan. I wish the best to his soul in Heaven as well as his family and friends on Earth.

I didn't know him that well personally, but being here for 18 years I obviously knew him and what he did for us all. A sad loss for our community.
