Personally I prefer water from a clean well but I drink tap water from a decent municipal supply. They over chlorinate it. Mostly I don't notice any more but after staying with relatives for weeks or months who using a well, when I come home it's like drinking from a swimming pool.
If you primarily use bottled water, why? Is the local tap water or your well water non-potable?

I drink tap water and bottled water depending on how cold I want my water to be. We had well water in WA that was really good, but now that we're in the armpit of the desert, we have tap water that's really hard in minerals.

I prefer bottled just because its easier to get cold in the fridge but wont complain about tap. I use to clean a building where they had filtered water which was a brand new system so it was nice. I've always wanted to try life straws for dity water life straw

Municipal supply. But we have a water softener system and a built in filter for the drinking water, so it doesn't taste like tap water.

Tap water, but it is rather hard and doesn't taste good so have to put some squash in it to make it taste better.

I might have to try that. What kind of squash do you use? Do you puree it? Strain it? In the Summer I often make what I like to call Lemonette. I use the juice of one or two lemon halves and 1/4 to 1/2 cup of sugar to a gallon of water. It adds just enough flavor to be interesting.

Municipal supply. Our water is pretty good, so I've never bought water bottles unless it's for a trip or something. That gets expensive quick. :[

Wellwater-which isn't as tasty as most of you would think it would be. *sigh* I wish we would get public water on our road, but even if we did we could afford it since w have over five hundred feet of frontage.

Bottled water. Tap water has too much iron in it.

It's just a fruit flavoured syrup that you can water down and drink. Like your Lemonette, really, but bought in a bottle and water added at home.

Tap water here is nice to drink and is quite soft, but the coffee machine still complains about needing to be descaled reguarly.

I don't assume well water to be always good. The water from many of the wells in Western Ohio and Indiana I've experienced was brackish. There's a wide spectrum of water quality from various wells. Tanya mentioned iron in her water which can be quite unpleasant. And sulphur compounds can make for a completely vile taste.

I drink from the tap. Our water supply comes from a few different local clean rivers that are checked frequently for contaminates. The company that monitors it, does pretty good on making sure nothing toxic gets into the supply. Though we do have a water softener, due to some hard water build up.
