One of my Forum members keeps being told that a particular member doesn’t exist when she tries to send a PM.
From what I can see she’s getting the name right. As the member who doesn’t exist is me(!), and no-one else has a problem, could you help please?

Hi again The sender, macarena, is still being told that I, rosacarol, don’t exist. She is definitely using the right name, all lower case. She can reply to a PM that I send to her, but can’t send a new one to me, using my Forum name. Any further ideas please?

I can’t see any reason either, unless she’s spelling my Forum Name, rosacarol, incorrectly. Have asked her to check, and to send me the info you require. I’ll get back to you, thanks.

sorry to butt in, I could be way off here.. but is the user using your username, not display name? Ive just tried on my forum and if I’m on the desktop version when I type someone’s display name you can select who it is you mean, but on mobile it just asks for a username.
I have a separate account on my forum and I’ve just tried to send a message to my main account using my display name and it says I don’t exist, but sending it to my username worked fine. Could this be the issue?

Sorry for late reply. Was waiting for the member in question to get back to me.
It seems I “exist” on her iPad, but not on her phone, so at least we know she can contact me if necessary.

When it gives her the error message, is it possible she can copy the entire error message and pass it on to you, or better, take a screenshot?
