posting template only working on one thread

I have a template code created by the very talented Kuroya of THQ & GS that works perfectly on the thread I put it on to store it until I was ready to use it, but now that I am ready to use it, it is broken everywhere except that thread.

Here is the link to the thread it works on:

and here is the link to another thread (in the same board) where it doesn't work:

My tests:

*When I copy and paste the code from the non working thread onto a reply to the working thread, it works.

* When I copy and paste the code that works onto the non working thread as a reply, it doesn't work.

* When I move a post from the thread that works to ANY other thread, new or merging it, it no longer works.



Why does the template only work on that one thread? I am at a total loss. Any and all help appreciated!

When you quote, hop on over to the BB Code tab. Double check to see if any characters like apostrophes, quotes, ampersands, etc have not been converted to their HTML entity + make sure that no extra spacing has been added.

If all is well there, I suggest hopping on over to the style plugin support thread, as CSS transitions are not natively supported in BB Code: support.proboards.com/thread/470310/style-tag-plugin-support-thread

Thanks Kami, I will double check my codes again, but I was pretty sure it couldn't be the code since I tried moving  a working post instead of copying or quoting it and moving it broke it the same way it broke when I copy/pasted.

I will try over on the style support thread after I double check. When I first noticed the issue I tried updating to the newest version of the style plug in to see if that would fix it, but it didn't. Hopefully, even if it isn't an issue with the plug in, they might have some ideas.

The only thing I can think of is that the Style Plugin CSS declarations aren't in the post, except if you're moving a post out of a thread where it works to it's own thread it should be copied over... 🤔

Doing a quick inspect, it looks like you might be missing some CSS. On the post that it works on, I saw this CSS:


.message[rel='user-2'] .paradebox {


that is missing on the thread that doesn't work. This is out of my area of expertise, so I'm not able to help further - but wanted to point this out in case someone else can help.

Thanks so much Lynx! Bennet from the Style tag plug in tracked me down after I mentioned it on the support thread and fixed it for me. (It was definitely my bad haha) It was working on only the one thread because I had [Newclass] on a previous post in the thread.

oops, sorry, I haven't checked back here in awhile, but yes! Do I need to contact staff to let them know it can be marked resolved?
