Member is not receiving any notifications

Hello:

I had recently created a thread regarding a member who was unable to logon to my forum here:

This member is still having problems and is now unable to receive any notifications. This is the message she left for me:

So the problems been ongoing and has now extended to all Proboards forums, so I have to clear cache daily. I receive no notifications so don't know what new topics might have been created or what's going on really.
It occurred to me this morning that it's odd that i'm not receiving daily notifications on my phone either - I hadn't thought of that before. If it was the computer causing the problem wouldn't I get notifications on my phone?
Oh also I do get PMs without problems.
Help it's driving me nuts guys

There are a few things:

1. the forgery 1 error is something i have noticed when trying to access PB sites while connected to my work VPN -- is it possible your user is on a VPN, or that they have a dynamic IP address that changes ?

2. when you say "do not receive notifications" and "do not receive notifications from phone" what are the notifications that are being referred to? there are a variety of different notification types, so it would be good to understand what kind of issues may be occurring.

Hello, so I am the member having problems and am not terrribly tech savvy so please bear with me

The notifications referred to are the daily ones telling you whether there are new topics, whether there have been replies to topics you have been involved with etc.

I'm not on a VPN or have a dynamic IP address which changes.

Thanks for the response on VPN / dynamic IP!

As far as notification, sorry I meant to try to find out if they are forum-based notifications (the NEW icon / participated dialogue / the notifications that appear in your profile) or email based.

On Tuesday after the holiday, the admins can check on the status of your email and whether or not it's been inadvertently blocked.

Sometimes, the system can falsely flag an email -- sometimes the domain has been used to mass spam, or the domain had too many failed deliveries and was blocked, etc etc. Only an admin will be able to check it though, so sit tight over the holiday.

If the notifications were not in your spam folder, can you tell us what email provider are you using? Do NOT post your full email address. Just the provider, such as yahoo.com, gmail.com, outlook.com, etc.

Just looking at some of the threads that have been created in the Support Board since I made this one, it looks like other members are not receiving email notifications either. So maybe the problem is a global issue.

I noticed that.  I have sent a message to Scott who will hopefully be able to check if there are any problems with the emails being sent out

Now here's an irony. Since registering on this forum, i'm receiving many email notifications from this site only but not the others that i'm subscribed to and not related to the topic I posted about on here
