Haha, it does feel that way a bit. I'm a Mahomes fan so watched some of the highlights, but strange having sports again. I'm excited to see the Ravens this year too.

This season seems to be the hardest to choose a champion. As much as I like Mahomes, I don't want the Chiefs to win another title, I'm so-so on the Texans and the Ravens and the Patriots don't seem to be as strong as they used to be. So, as an underdog attempt, I'm hoping the Seahawks win it all this year.

Whether or not I root for my home team tomorrow depends on the outcome of an earlier game. Basically, tomorrow night's Eagles/Football Team game is pivotal in determining who wins the NFC East. If the Football Team wins, they clinch the division. However, if the Team That Doesn't Know How to Play Football wins, then the winner of the Cowboys/Giants game wins the division. The Cowboys are currently 6-9, while the Giants are 5-10. Now, take into account my order of preferences, from best to worst case scenario: 1. Eagles win division2. Non-Cowboys team wins division at 6-10 3. Non-Cowboys team wins division at 7-9 4. Cowboys win division That means that if the Cowboys win the afternoon game, I'll be rooting for the Football Team over the Eagles, because any outcome is better than the Cowboys taking it all. However, if the Giants win, then that opens the door for the hilarious possibility of a 6-10 team winning the division. In that case, I'll be rooting for the Eagles to win (although Football Team winning at 7-9 would still be pretty fun). Basically, as long as Dallas loses, I'm happy. Some things never change. Rooting guide for other games: - Browns over Steelers: Everyone wants the Browns to make the playoffs. Everyone. To me, this is the biggest game of the week (or day, I guess). I'll be treating the Browns as though they were my team. Hopefully, they don't play like them.
- Jaguars over Colts: As unlikely as it is, this outcome would also secure a playoff spot for the Browns, just in case the Browns blow it like they always do.
- Bears over Packers: Although my team is indebted to the Packers for the many playoff favors they've done for us over the years, the Bears making the playoffs opens the door for the possibility of playoff Foles re-emerging at some point. And you know you want to see more playoff Foles.
- Rams over Cardinals: Gives the Bears an alternate path to make the playoffs.

The Divisional Games: (all times are in EST)
AFC: Baltimore Ravens @ Buffalo Bills, Saturday 16th January, 8:35PM Cleveland Browns @ Kansas City Chiefs, Sunday 17th January, 3:05PM
NFC: Los Angeles Rams @ Green Bay Packers, Saturday 16th January, 4:35PM Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ New Orleans Saints, Sunday 17th January, 6:40PM
---Scenarios---
AFC: Best Case: Browns vs Bills in Conference: This is because I'm a Bills fan, and I would like the Browns to beat the Chiefs. 2nd: Chiefs vs Bills: With Cleveland out, I'm cheering more for the Bills, so they get my full support here. 3rd: Browns vs Ravens: It's not as bad as Chiefs vs Ravens, as I still have the Browns to cheer on. Worst: Ravens vs Chiefs: I really hope it doesn't come to this. Not a Ravens fan, and I don't want the Chiefs to win the Superbowl again.
NFC: This is more tougher, as I favor the Packers, than Saints, then Rams and Buccaneers.
Best case: Packers and Saints: Would make for an competitive match. 2nd: Packers vs Buccaneers: Not as interesting as Saints vs Packers, but should still be good. 3rd: Saints vs Rams: If this happens, then I'll be rooting for the Saints. Worst case: Buccaneers vs Rams: At this point, I'm not interested in the NFC, as they are my least preferred teams left in this conference.
If both worst cases happens then I'll just forget the season, and just hope that we get entertaining games (unlike Super Bowl 53, but like 54)
---Predictions---
Neutral on Bills/Ravens, though I could see it go to the Ravens. Chiefs over Browns, the first seed wants to go back to the Super Bowl. Buccaneers over Saints, it'll be close but I think Brady will pull it off. Packers over Rams, I see an easy win for them.

Although I do see the Chiefs going to superbowl the way they've been playing lately is questionable although a lot of the top players have been in pain understandingly. The way the Browns played against the steelers was scary good. It would be nice to see the Browns get a superbowl win for once.

You have to be excited about the games this weekend. Rodgers against Brady in the NFC, Mahomes (if he plays) against Allen in the AFC. Two old QBs battling and two young QBs battling. I think it would be really cool to see Brady torment the Bills once more in the Super Bowl.

At the same time it'd be exciting to see Mahomes and Brady go at it this superbowl but at the sametime I don't see Mahomes recovering enough for the playoffs. There was a few mentions he's doing better but if you ask me the guy should step out and hopefully Henne does well enough to get is there. I'm just glad the concussion wasn't severe enough to knock out all of his senses. That'd be sad for a young talented guy to go through regardless of celebrity status in the kc area.

So, how does a prospect of a Brady vs Mahomes Super Bowl sound? Personally, I actually don't really want to watch the pairing...

I had been hoping for Bills/Packers, but instead I got, well, neither of those teams.
The defending champions vs. a QB who's already won six Super Bowls isn't a very compelling matchup, in my mind. I would have preferred: team that's never won a Super Bowl before vs. all-time great QB who has somehow only ever been to one Super Bowl and is likely nearing the end of his career. Don't get me wrong, Mahomes vs. Brady still sounds fun, but it's just a little disappointing to know that neither Buffalo or Green Bay are going to win it all this year. I guess I'll be rooting for Andy Reid again.

I was rooting for the Bills too, but had a feeling the Chiefs would be back in. I've been pretty vocal in the past about not wanting Tom Brady to get another ring, but I have to say it's pretty impressive that in his first season as a Buccaneer they're in the Super Bowl while the Patriots didn't even make the playoffs.
I kind of want to see Tampa Bay win the whole thing, especially being the first team ever to be in the Super Bowl at their home stadium. At the same time, Mahomes and Reid man. How can you not like those two? I think it'll be a good game, and I'm not picking either team. Just want a good one and may the best team win. Good luck to both of them.
