Forum URL: splawnfans.proboards.comHello, First time question for me. Sorry if this has been covered already. I am a moderator on the splawnfans forum. Last time I logged in a few days ago there was POP UP that said passwords may have been compromised. I don't remember the source, look, details etc unfortunately. I should have take a screen shot of it. 1.) Has anyone else experienced this? 2.) Is it a thing? Is it specific to Proboards, or maybe something fake? It did have a link on it that said something like "To learn more click here". I don't do that unless I trust who it is from. Then, when I went into the forum I noticed an irregular post from a long time user. That user has not posted in many many years but I could tell by the content of the post that it looked like it had been hacked. That is why I'm asking. Thanks for reading and for your response

Possibly from a bad advertisement. If it isn't clear which ad might have produced the popup, use the Report Ad link at the bottom of the page and report ALL Three ads as being a possible source of the popup.

I have had that happen a lot to me lately, and I believe it might be a new feature of chrome. Are you using chrome?

Hi, The popup you're describing is from Chrome and is built into the browser, this is not ProBoards related and has nothing to do with ads. blog.google/products/chrome/better-password-protections/If you are using old and likely compromised passwords you should update your password, preferably using Google's new Suggest a Password feature that provides you with a secure and random password. A password manager (like the one built into Chrome) should also be used.
