Contribute to ProBoards (and get rewards!)

I really am confused. I see that this thread has been up since Dec. 2020 and today was the first time I heard anything about it.
I belong to about 10 different Proboard sites, am admin to three of them. I have just got this PM today on one site that I manages as well as many of my members.
They are uncertain what to do because they too have only gotten the notice on this one particular site and non of the other Proboard sites they belong to.

Are certain sites contacted because of membership? longevity? activity? or why is there such a selectiveness in contacting people.

Would love to be able to give them an answer as many are already talking about making a contribution but are a bit leery at the moment.

When we first launched Contributions it was more of a "soft launch" to allow us to work out any kinks in this new system. 

Currently we're in the process of sending this PM to everyone. Sending millions of PMs simultaneously would be unnecessarily strenuous so they're being sent in waves. If you've received the PM on one forum but not another, you will eventually receive it on the other forum.

Hiya. I just made a contribution a few minutes ago. I didn't get an email confirmation but my credit card reflects the charge. Does it take a little while for the rewards to process? I'm still seeing ads, etc.

When I go to my rewards I am not sure if this is what I should see next.....not sure what the next step is

Looks like we had a little hiccup a few minutes ago. The team is already aware and working on getting this resolved now. You should see your rewards shortly (and I'll post back when I hear back). Apologies for the issue!

I have a question (I hope this is the correct post to ask this question?) --

Anyway, if I contribute (let's say $50) would that be a one time payment or would it be monthly?

I could only afford the one time at the moment.
