Forum URL: (private) Hi,
Is there a way to change a member's registration date like you can their posting count?
Thank you.

PF, sorry no, this is not possible. Is there a reason you need to change this information?

PF , sorry no, this is not possible. Is there a reason you need to change this information? I just realized that the plugin that used to do this is no longer working.
I'm not hijacking, but just sharing information because I came in here to recommend that plugin. Out of the remaining first few accounts that are still present on my forum, they incorrectly display that the accounts were created at the exact date, hour, minute, and second as my admin account. Perhaps PF has a similar issue.

PF , sorry no, this is not possible. Is there a reason you need to change this information? It's just that a long-time member deleted her account, but then re-registered. I wanted to restore her original registration date. I'm wondering if I could remove the registration from her profile only, then put a different date in the mini bio layout template.

I'll defer to the ProBoards Admins as to whether we should continue the conversation in this thread or if you should create a new thread in the Request a Template sub-board.

bigballofyarn, I looked at your forum and that plugin does appear to be working. PF, sorry I didn't realize this plugin existed. While you cannot permanently change a member's registration date, this plugin will let you change what displays as the member's registration date: Change Registration Date

Thank you. Is there a way to put it in the mini-bio and also remove the time field? All I would like to show is the month and year. I do leave the time field blank, but then it still shows the colon.

Is there a way to put it in the mini-bio and also remove the time field? All I would like to show is the month and year. There are instructions in the About tab of the plugin for the short version (month and year). You'll need to modify the User Profile (Summary Tab) layout template. Find this variable (usually found on line 84): $[user.registered_on] and replace it with this: $[user.registered_on]
I can't view your forum so I don't know whether you already have registration dates being displayed in the mini-profile.

My forum is: imdb-3.freeforums.net/I pasted that variable but I don't know what it does. The dates are the same. There is one new account that I would like to change the registration date on, and that would show in the mini bio, but I understand that's not possible to do.

PF, I was looking at the plugin settings on the forum, and don't see where you've added the member whose date you wish to change. In the plugin settings tab, there is the Add Members link. Click that and type in the member's username, select from the list that pops up, then click Done.

PF , this will be slightly complicated, but if you start by following the instructions given by Scott , I believe eventually we'll be able to get all of your issues addressed. Including the change on the mini-profile! All I would like to show is the month and year. I overlooked that part. The class assignment: regDate tells the plugin to omit the time if/when it's necessary to change the date for a particular member. But you stated you want only the month and year. Use this in the User Profile (Summary tab) instead: $[user.registered_on_short] That will limit the display of the date to just the month and year, not the particular day of the month Then copy/paste the entire contents of your Mini-Profile layout template into a post in this thread. I'll make the necessary changes that will allow the plugin to change the date without showing the time of registration.

Okay, but would you be able to put the date as June 2015? The plugin can change the date for a specific user on both the User Profile and Mini-profile. Unfortunately, the way Shorty designed the plugin, the replacement month is three characters, like military dates. So June 2015 would display as Jun 2015, October 2018 would display as Oct 2018, etc. I can't force it to use the full month name. If the three character month code isn't acceptable, we can skip the plugin completely and use {if} statements in the layout templates to handle the special case of this particular member. If you want to go in that direction, post contents of both the Mini-profile layout template and the User Profile layout template. And tell me the user ID of the member whose date you want to change to June 2015.
