Will we be able to have page layouts for our custom pages? Also will we be able to make our own plugins? I had made some of my own but it wouldnt work on the v6 test, i need these plug's to make life easyer there more of a personal one vs one to go public with.

If I recall, you've always been able to have custom page layouts as long as you opted not to use the forum wrapper; example: theavatarrp.com/page/testYou've also always been able to make your own plugins. v6 plugins do seem to have some bugs right now, but that's natural during a beta test.

Custom Pages
In V5 after u put in the page name it takes you to a page to pick your layout
In V6 after u putting in the page name, its taking u str8 to a place to put in just lines down
My thing is theres no way to pick your page layout and wanting to no if hats in the plans or can be added in the plans, TY

My mistake!

Hi!
Will you be continuing to keep the same coding that V5 uses for V6? (I.e. will BB coding still continue to work?) I'm concerned my existing sites may not continue to work for the coding that's being used currently.

I'm concerned my existing sites may not continue to work for the coding that's being used currently. BB Code won't change but for what it's worth "same coding v5 uses" implies something much different because v6 is actually programmed different in the back end / layout templates. If your only concern is your post content looking the same, there should be no issue unless you are using the style tags plugin. If you are using the style tags plugin, either a) that will break due to some back end changes and you'll need to wait for an update that makes it v6 compatible, b) it will be inherently possible with the software but possibly with different syntax than the plugin uses, or c) it'll be inherently compatible because the things it needs to find in order to function have not changed between v5 and v6. My recommendation, if you aren't using the style tag plugin, would be to select the v6 beta theme here on support (edit your profile) and send yourself a PM with a formatted post.

Apologies for the delay, this should be fixed now. Some of our internal tools were down and that slowed us down!

This is not worthy of its own thread. Will "login" and "logout" ever be corrected to "log in" and "log out"? I asked about this in 2015 and only Craig offered support via a script. I know I'm picky. Is this something that's very difficult to correct?

Login and Logout are actually correct in reference to internet-related lingo; using them as a singular word is in reference to the noun, not the verb / action. In particular the login link takes you to the login area (noun) wherein you input the login (noun) ie your username and password. Logout, similarly, is the component by which you exit your account as opposed to the action of logging out. In other words, you will log in through the login, and log out through the logout. So, in light of this, it won't be changed as it is correct. However, with v6, you wouldn't need a script to change this yourself and can simply do it in the templates.

Suppose it depends how one reads the link. You log out of the forum. Same deal. What do you mean by lingo?
