I'm super excited to see v6 officially released! Going to go ahead and thank all the people that do end up testing out the forum for the rest of us that can't! <3

Hey folks, is it right that I can't edit themes on my test board? Looked a the current state page and it looks like it should be available? (or is it a tiered reward thing?)

It's not a tiered reward thing, no. You either have access or you don't, regardless of tier. What do you see when you try to edit the theme? It should come up when you hover over the theme preview, in the vertical dot menu in the top right.

You can switch between the v5 and v6 admin panels at will. To switch back to the v6 admin panel, go under "Upgrades" in the admin panel and you will see a link that will switch you to the opposite one. For anyone else reading this - the link is only available on beta forums and will not be visible on a regular v5 forum.

whats this v6 business is it for everyone to upgrade their forums? Short answer: Yes, but not yet. Along answer: v6 is the i next iteration of ProBoards software (currently on v5). It recently entered a closed beta phase and select users are able to create test forums in order to test and provide feedback to the development team (I in particular am looking for design feedback). If you aren't part of the closed beta group, you can still test out the user-end parts of v6 here on Support. Just go to your profile, click edit, and under the "Groups" tab add yourself to the v5 Alpha Tester group. Then, navigate to the "Settings" tab and select the v6 Beta theme and save your changes. There is currently no ETA on v6's next stages of testing (open beta) not on its public release. However, whenever the public release arrives, forum admins will have 18 months from launch to acclimate and transition any themes / forum modifications that need to be made v6 compatible.

Hey there. Received the call for help, contributed for the first time with my tax return money what I could at the moment.
Is there any way to request an invite to upgrade my board at this time rather than building a new one? Is this the right thread for that?
I wanted to reskin my board anyway soon... but I'm also in Texas, and that whole natural disaster thing is still in fallout mode, and I'm an essential worker, thus real life is super busy, so no big rush on this. Some free time is on the horizon later in the week, though. Just would love to improve what I've built and contribute further to the beta, just without rebuilding the whole thing on a new URL, y'see.

Hi nivisionWhen v6 is released, every existing forum will have the option to use v6. Right now, v6 is in the Beta Test phase. Only new forums being created for test purposes only, can be created with the key provided in the rewards page. Those participating in Beta testing are doing so to help the developers identify any problems or deficiencies in the current state of v6.

Everyone will be able to opt to upgrade their forum to v6 Beta before the actual launch day as soon as we reach a stage of testing where the new version is complete enough for actual, non-testing forums. (Alternatively, if an admin opts to do so, a forum may remain on v5 for another 18 months after launch.)

I created a v6 test forum and I was playing around with the colors in the "easy editor" and would like to restore it to the original colors. Is there a way to do this? I can't find a "restore defaults..." type of button.

I can't find a "restore defaults..." type of button. By far the easiest way to start over from changes in the easy theme editor would be to create a new theme at this time. I had done that but I thought it was inheriting the colors of the original theme I had badly messed with - I was forgetting that I still needed to go into my profile and change my personal theme.
