When I search for "proboards" Tapatalk's app comes up, which I believe to be one of the largest competitors to ProBoards. Absolutely nothing at all for ProBoards.

Hi celtictigerAt one time, ProBoards did have their own app. But that has been retired for several years now: Hi, don0tto90. We no longer support the ProBoards App and thus no longer offer it on Apple's store. If you still wish to utilize an app to access your forum the remaining available option is Tapatalk.

that's just...a blatant lie - and hasn't been true since 2015?! I wouldn't inherently say it was a lie — it started off true, but the page (assuming you mean on the proboards.com page) was not updated in a timely manner to reflect the change. I definitely agree though that it is unintentionally misleading through this oversight. Unfortunately, as we are only volunteer members here until the normal work week and business hours resume, this cannot be corrected until next week.

Seems like more than a little oversight to have one of the most easily found initial "sales" pages still showing that 6 years later, when it takes about a minute to update to be accurate and not false advertising. Can't believe I'm the first to get suckered in by it in all that time? I appreciate the answers very much.

Can't believe I'm the first to get suckered in by it in all that time? I appreciate the answers very much. I think the thing that might be important to know here is that PB isn't a large company; at last count, there are only nine employees and a majority of them are software developers for the actual forum software as opposed to the main web page. This isn't a large company that has its own dedicated web / homepage / branding / marketing department, there's no web or content producer to own changes to the main homepage. With developers (ie a majority of the team) hard at work at maintaining v5 and moving forward on v6, it's more than likely updates to the main page were simply lower priority due to the need for time to be sent on software development and maintaining their actual service. The fast loading and update times refer to the software and the remote hosts, not their company webpage I'm afraid. I feel here the assumption is that PB is attempting to mislead with malice aforethought, based on your phrasing. I understand entirely why it must feel that way to you, but in the fifteen years I have used this service the biggest struggle PB has faced is honestly just timeliness of user-facing communication. Based on experience, I am 100% confident that it simply fell so very far into the cracks because they have been working on the service itself. Surprisingly, yes, you're the first person to my recollection that had pointed out that the homepage links to the PB app are out of date / obsolete. We've definitely had queries about the stand alone app here on Support, but as far as I can remember no one has ever mentioned the home page.

I'm not sure how we missed that item on the features list so long, I'll make a task to reword that bullet point (though it's likely that page will be reworked in the not-too-distant future). Thanks for letting us know!
