how do i move chatbox to top of forum? Below menu but above General.

Hi ushltech

From your Admin panel, navigate:
Admin Home> Themes> Layout Templates
Then from the dropdown to the right of Current Theme, select the desired theme.
Next, click on Forum Wrapper

On or about lines 71 and 72 you'll see these two lines:

$[content]
$[shoutbox]

Swap the order so it looks like this:

$[shoutbox]
$[content]

Then click the Save Changes button at the bottom of the page or the Save Theme button near the top.

This will place the Shoutbox after the Banner, Logo, Navigation Bar, Navigation Tree, and top Ad. But before the News (if enabled) and the first category.

If you need to have the News above the Shoutbox, there is one more change we can make.

Okay then ...

You can add news on a line before the shoutbox and content in the Forum Wrapper layout template so it looks like this:

$[news]
$[shoutbox]
$[content]

Then comment-out the news variable in the Home layout template. On or about line 1 you'll find this:

$[news]
Edit that line so it looks like this:

<!-- $[news] -->
