Where do I find the numbers associated with the two members that I want to receive the messages? I assume that I am number 1.

richietwo, when you view their profile you will see their user ID in the address bar of the browser.

richietwo, as stated previously you use numbers, not their username. If you look in the address bar in your sample, the URL ends in user/137, thus the User ID for that member is 137.

Unfortunately, you can't. The best you could do would be to turn Restricted Registration on and request that information. You can then reject anyone who doesn't provide the answers you seek / any answers at all. If you want to do that, head over to your admin panel under settings > login and registration, and set Restricted Registration to "yes". Once you do that, you can enter a message for registrants containing your questions. From there, anyone who attempts to register will find that they need to add in a message for you with their registration. You'll receive a message in the admin panel when you have new registrations to approve, and you can accept / decline as needed from there.Hope this helps! Let us know if you can't find the option or need more assistance. Will the answers to the questions show in their profile after they are accepted, and be visible to other members who look at their profile? This is a good solution for our forum as long as staff are the only ones who see the answers.

This is a good solution for our forum as long as staff are the only ones who see the answers. For future reference, it's stated in the forum rules to start your own topic; while this is related, this thread has long been marked as resolved. If you need to reference a prior thread, you can always link to it (: To answer: no. These answers will disappear once the member is approved — only staff with the power to approve / deny registrations in the admin panel will see these answers, and they are not recorded beyond that point. If you need the answers to be recorded, there isn't a way to do this inherently on registration. As an (admittedly tedious) alternative, you could create a few custom profile fields (admin > members > custom profile fields) and create a member group to be assigned to all new registrants. Then, edit your board settings to prevent posts by that group and specify they need to add in their answers again via their account profile. Then once that's done they can either PM a staff member or post in a special thread (you'd need to create a board only staff and that group can see / post in) to let staff know when that's done and staff can take them out of that member group. If that sounds like a rough time, there's not a whole of of other options right now; however, when v6 is release (no ETA on that unfortunately), we'll have a bit more control over registration so sit tight til then.
