I am a devoted member of a smallish but very interesting ProBoards forum. An administrator of the forum has posted a message in which he stated that his security settings didn't allow him to view images that are hosted by Postimages.org (also known in the past as Postimage.org and Postimg.cc). He inferred that images downloaded from this hoster may form a security threat, and urged (not: ordered) users of this hosting service to stop using the service.
I and some other members have been using Postimages without a problem for years, and visitors of our favourite subforum have never complained about not being able to view the images or experiencing security issues.
I did a Google search and a search at this support forum to find out if any security issue relating to Postimages was mentioned in the last 365 days, but I didn't find any. To make sure that there are no known security issues with Postimages, I would like to ask knowledgeable people who read this to comment. Thanks!

One member (not the administrator) tells me that he can see the images on his personal computer, but not at work on his office computer. I suppose there are virus checkers that have blacklisted Postimages.org (our administrator still calls it by an older name, postimg.cc), but as a long time user I cannot see a valid reason for that, it seems totally safe to me. Thank you for replying.

Thanks. You're right, my mistake. Asker, that is most likely the case. Thanks for posting back and letting us know that.
