Hi!
I've got a new forum, currently in MM, and every time I try to install a plugin, it takes me back to the MM blue page. I log in, go to the plugin again, and it'll install. I go to the next plugin, rinse and repeat. I am going to the plugin library via Admin > Plugins > Plugin Library in each case. Any idea what causes this and forcing me to log in again? Is MM somehow affecting this?
Thanks for any insight!

That is rather unexpected, can't say I've encountered that at all before and I keep some of my test forums in MM all the time.
Try logging out and then back into the forum and see if that makes any difference. Is the correct forum shown on the right when you're browsing the library?

Give me a minute to get back to you on the logout/login. As far as for the correct forum showing in the library - yes. EDIT: Michael, I logged out of everything PB, then logged into just the 1 forum. I was logged into 2 different PB forums before. Even though I went to the library through the correct admin panel, and the library did show the correct forum to install to, it seems like it may have gotten confused with me being logged into more than 1 forum at a time. No biggie - just thought I'd let you know it may happen to others if they attempt the same thing. Thanks! Have a great day!

Thanks for the update!
My guess was that there was some sort of login confusion going on. When you have a sec could you PM be your browser info? I'll try to find out if this is something we can fix.

Michael, Update for you. I was getting the same thing today and this time I made sure I was logged out of everything PB and only logged into 1 forum (the one in my OP). I didn't throw me back to the MM page after every attempt to install a plugin, but it did so with about 1/2 to 3/4's of my attempts.

For my curiosity: can you install a pbp file from your HD? It would be interesting to note if this is a conflict with the plugin library redirect somehow getting confused since the forum is on MM, or if it's a broader plugins/MM conflict.

As requested, I tested this out. I was able to install 4 plugins in a row via Import Plugin (after downloading the plugins from the library). So, you may be on to something with the redirect confusion on a forum in MM.

One more small test if you'll indulge me: if you remove the forum from MM and sign into multiple forums as before, are you able to use the plugin library correctly? That would clinch it as an MM issue versus a multiple login issue.

Test results: - I logged into CGI (1 of my forums), PBS (here) and my new forum - each in a new tab - I turned off MM on my new forum and refreshed the homepage - On my new forum's admin panel, I went to the plugin library - the correct forum was showing for installs - I successfully installed 2 plugins - On the 3rd and subsequent attempts, I get this: I did not log out of any of the other forums and did not do any activity on either CGI or PBS (until this post - after the error). No other activity, other than just going to the Plugin Library to install plugins, was done on the new forum (no other admin panel activity and no front-end posting). The address bar had this link on the error page (forum URL removed): https://(my_forum_URL)/admin/plugins/install/276 EDIT: The forum is now back in MM. I can remove MM again, if need be.

So to recap, the issue occurs: - when installing directly from the plugin library and redirecting to the selected forum Conditions tested: - multiple forums logged into simultaneously - single forum logged into only - with and without maintenance mode - installing plugin directly from HD Of all of these conditions, only installing the plugin from your HD did not eventually cause the error message. Is that correct? If so it points to a redirect issue as a whole. What's interesting is that it takes a couple of times before the issue seems to pop up depending on the conditions. Does this still occur incognito / in a different browser?

I'm unable to test a different browser at this time (my HDD is close to full due to a game I have installed and I refuse to use Edge).

Since you're installing directly from the Plugin Library (or trying to), that could work since you're not downloading anything directly.

I don't own a cell phone / smart phone / any kind of mobile device. I have a land-line and that's it. Sorry, I won't be able to test that.

The other thing I can think of is to use a browser emulator -- I think browserstack has free trials, if you're interested. Otherwise, hopefully this will be enough info for the admins to test when they return to business hours on Monday (:
