If I created a proboards board, upon people clicking the link, can it be directed to an already created board?
Example... Current forum is called ABC at proboards dot com But a new board called XYZ at proboards is created. If anyone clicked on the XYZ they would be brought to ABC only?
The XYZ would only be used for the name itself... if that makes sense?

Hi BusyMother For the sake of clarity, let's stick with the official terminology. abc.proboards.com would be your existing forum. xyz.proboards.com would be the newly created forum. To the best of my knowledge, it would not be possible to redirect from the URL of xyz.proboards.com to abc.proboards.com. You could create a board on the xyz.proboards.com forum and have that board redirect to abc.proboards.com I believe the only case where there would be a redirect from one (home) URL to another (home) URL would be when you purchase a URL change. For instance, if you changed the URL of your existing forum to def.proboards.com, your old URL: abc.proboards.com would redirect to your new URL: def.proboards.com for two weeks after the change.

Ok thanks. I think I understand. I wanted to get another domain name and use that but have it go to my current site. However since that is really not possible I will not do it. There was just another name I liked as well as what I have now but I do not want to create a whole new site as I like what I have now. I needed to ask the question tho, Thank you for responding Retread

BusyMother, you can change the forum's url if you wish (for a one-time fee) and that would retain all the content so you wouldn't be starting over. Admin > Upgrades > Change Forum URL
