Meanest? Boy, that's tough. So many would likely take the cake.
And now that I'm older, some don't seem as mean as they probably were.
I'm going to go with egotistical and mean and that was my Fine Arts professor in college.

Everyone can shout mean but the stories my grandmother told me going to a catholic church filled with nun's in charge takes the cake.

I had one teacher in elementary school that kept a machete in her classroom. She didn't use it on anybody, but she did make sure it was in full view, especially when she shouted at us. She also made the local papers for getting into a fight with a local puppeteer over a payment dispute (it kind of ruined our field trip). At this school there was also a teacher who threw staplers at students and another who tried to run one over in a nearby parking lot, but I didn't have those.
I had a math teacher in high school who was always smiling no matter what was going on, which made it seem creepy really fast. One day when I was in class during lunch to retake a test, she asked why I was struggling with a particular section. I said I had trouble memorizing all the formulas, and she said, "No you don't." She finally broke one day when she started screaming at the class about how stupid we were, broke down in tears on the floor, then left the classroom all before the late bell rang.
Finally, in middle school I had a math teacher (is it any wonder I started hating math) who seemed to have it out for me. She'd randomly do things like give me (and only me) detention for forgetting my textbook even on days where we weren't using it, and once gave me a Saturday school for "forging [my] mother's signature" on a progress report, even after my mother herself called in to the school to say she had signed it.
I honestly haven't had too many mean teachers, but the few I did seemed to be competing.

I was raised on a farm and we were so tight for money and in my second year I had a teacher who just loathed people from such humble backgrounds. She was so demeaning to me the whole year. Called me names, made fun of me and the rest of my family. Ugggg

I had a teacher (my Spanish teacher) that would make fun of the way I dressed. I was very into the 70's Hippie look but on a budget. Well since it was the 70's... *snort* and she was a little uhm, staid, even though she was young for a teacher. She went out of her way to get me into trouble for everything I did. She even got me suspended for smoking (Yes it was legal in school back then) near the smoking courtyard door instead of me taking the one step outside (it was raining cats and dogs)even though there were at least 2 dozen other kids smoking in the same spot. Of course, then there was the teacher who wouldn't allow me to go to the restroom and I pooped my pants. I was 6 what can I say?

One of my professors at my university would throw things at students who were talking. I heard he got fired years after I graduated because he threw a desk at a student.

My 5th grade teacher, Mr. LeDuc, would berate kids in front of the class for perceived shortcomings, belittle some for their choices of friends, thought he knew everything about everything, and would never admit he was wrong. On one spelling test we were to spell "log" which he defined as a ship's log. I spelled it correctly, he marked it wrong then punished me for telling him he was wrong. My father, a Lieutenant in the US Navy, came to my classroom after class the next day, IN UNIFORM, and made it very clear to Mr. LeDuc just how wrong he was but, as I said earlier, Mr. LeDuc did not admit he was wrong, saying my father was the one who was in error! My dad then went to the principal and had a conversation with him about my teacher. There was never an apology.
Long story short (I know, too late!), Mr. LeDuc was not teaching there the following year, LOTS of parental complaints, among other transgressions.
On the plus side, I learned several valuable lessons from that incident which I still follow to this day.

My third grade teacher. She was a meanie. Always made me feel singled out as a bad egg (I once brought an egg to school for no real reason, and it accidentally cracked in my pocket, and I scooped it out of my pocket and put it in the toilet with paper towels on top, unflushed, and then drew a smiley face on the mirror with the excess yolk).

Probably my fourth grade teacher was the meanest. She was very rude and threw books, pens and pencils at students she did not like including me. I hated school that year and it still haunts me.

I could tell a few story's of mean teachers/professors, but I suppose since none of them actually physically abused anyone(at least as far as i'm aware) then they are probably not as bad as the ones listed here. Really makes me wonder though how the process goes for becoming a teacher, because some people really shouldn't be in the room with kids alone.

Didn't have any mean teachers. Only one in Junior High School that was a b*tch. I was so excited and looking forward to going to Junior High and taking Home Economics class since my two older sisters were taking it when I was younger and it sounded like such a fun class to take. When I finally got into Junior High School I had the biggest b*tch teacher. She would make fun of students that made little mistakes or didn't do something perfectly. I was one of the first ones she made fun of in front of the class.
We made pillow cases and had to sew the edge of it on the sewing machine. I never used a sewing machine in my entire life and I was like 12 or 13 at the time so when I did my sewing it wasn't a straight line. So she made fun of me in front of the class, everyone had their laugh and after that I always dreaded going to that class. I hated Home Economics after that.

My 10th grade Pre-Calc Honors teacher… she had such an attitude and you could just tell she didn’t like kids. She had mood swings everyday and was really difficult to approach. She never liked what I did or wrote so I had to use help of www.topwritersreview.com/reviews/writemyessays/ to get my written assignment done. I think she had this “cold b*tch” aura about her… Some thought she was cool, I didn’t dig her at all. Totally bombed that course lol!!
