In 1957 the Goodyear Aircraft company built an inflatable airplane... a real one! By all accounts it flew quite well, but only 12 were ever built.

The Inflatoplane may be the focus of the forum, but it is just one type of inflatable aircraft discussed. Other types include similar aircraft developed by the UK and USSR, as well as paragliders, paramotors, free balloons, and blimps. The Inflatoplane Forum also has space for discussing the alternate forms of propulsion we will likely be using in the (near?) future.
