I can insert an image in my post. I used to be able to easily resize it to an appropriate size to fit with the text and other inserts such as videos with the grab and drag function. But that function no longer functions. How can I resize the image?

Hi, I think I remember this being a browser feature that was removed (Firefox? if I remember correctly). You can control inserted images by setting a height and width for how you'd like the image to appear: [img src="https://storage.proboards.com/forum/images/defaultavatar.png" alt=" "] [img src="https://storage.proboards.com/forum/images/defaultavatar.png" style="width:10px;height:10px;" alt=" "] Which display as and respectively.

1 Until recently I had been using Firefox version 55.6 I'll try reinstalling and using it again. 2 Thanks for the instructions although I'm not familiar with that code or how to find it yet

wendellpayne , do not reinstall an earlier version of Firefox. Old browser versions are unstable, unsafe and are much more vulnerable to infection by viruses, malware, etc. Also, they may not display newer websites as they were intended. There is a workaround for the current version of Firefox: 1. In the address bar of a new FF tab type: about:config and press enter. 2. You should see a "Proceed with Caution" warning. Click the 'Accept the Risk and Continue' button. 3. In the search field type: by_def 4. Look for the line "editor.resizing.enabled_by_default" - it should be listed as 'false' - double-click it and the false should change to true 5. Close and relaunch Firefox. This should restore the resizing function.

'wendellpayne , do not reinstall an earlier version of Firefox'
Wish I had read your message before I did exactly what you said not to and reinstalled an earlier version of Firefox which caused a lot of problems including not being able to log back into ProBoards. After uninstalling old Firefox and reinstalling new Firefox I was able to implement your fix and it worked without having to try Michael Stone's earlier suggestion above. Thanks to both of you.

On the board, if an image is posted and its too large, go to the post and view in "BBCode" where you will see similar to
'[ img alt=" " style="width:10px;height:10px;" src="https://xxxxxxxx.proboards.com/forum/images/defaultavatar.png" ],
Change the width:2048px to 640px (for example) and the image will display smaller.
