Changing Administrator on free forum

The admin of the forum no longer participates.  Is there a way to assume admin duties to enhance your add revenue?  Us older members desire to increase the traffic flow etc on this forum.

Unfortunately, without the forum owner (the user with the username of admin & user ID of 1) things are a bit difficult. Check back for a PB admin's response but generally speaking, the forum owner would have to initiate proceedings either by requesting an ownership transfer or by assigning additional staff / moderators.

If you haven't tried reaching out yet, you may want to see if their profile on the forum contains any contact info (eg email address).

A PB admin may potentially have more options as well, depending on your forum's unique circumstances.

sigurdur despite the fact the Admin no longer participates on the forum, they have recently logged into the forum. Therefore the forum cannot be classified as abandoned and is ineligible for any consideration of transferring ownership. Best I can offer is echoing what Kami suggested - to reach out to the admin and see if they would be willing to transfer the forum, or perhaps promote someone to a staff position to assist in running the forum.

We have tried reached out to Kevin numerous times with no response.  

We are at a dead end then?

Unfortunately sigurdur at this point in time, yes. However, once a more significant amount of time has passed if the admin is still unreachable, you are welcome to make another request and we will review the situation at that time.
