Hi, I was banned from the forum. I have no idea why. How can I reach out to a moderator to ask? I'm curious but I'm not going to ask them to change their mind. How can I have all of my data (profile, posts, pms) deleted?

Unfortunately, unless you had a way to contact them prior to the ban, or their contact information is public, there's really no way to get ahold of them. Per the TOS, admins can ban members at any time, with or without warning, for any reason.
As for the request of things to be deleted; there's limited good news. Admins here will be able to delete your accounts, if they weren't already. Unfortunately, there is no way to delete your outgoing PMs from the inboxes of those you sent them to, nor is there any way to delete posts that you made. I've seen instances of exceptions in the case of posts containing personal information, but in general, they're there to stay.

You would wait for an admin (red name) to give you the OK to message them, typically.

It seems that administrators can delete posts/threads (started)/PMs (started) by members or by IP addresses FROM the Security Area/FORUM CLEANUP. But in general, old posts are left in place even when a member leaves so as not to disrupt the discussion flow of threads.

That was before whatever law allegedly obligates them to delete any and all posts upon request. I don't believe this is accurate, as the last thread I saw (from less than 6 months ago) said the admins here will only delete posts with personal info. They *will* delete accounts on forums where the member isn't able to do it themselves, provided they can prove ownership of the account via matching email. It seems that administrators can delete posts/threads (started)/PMs (started) by members or by IP addresses FROM the Security Area/FORUM CLEANUP. But in general, old posts are left in place even when a member leaves so as not to disrupt the discussion flow of threads. To clarify, whether they remove the posts/threads is the admin's preference. I get why it's done, especially on RP forums. But, I personally will delete all posts if asked because I feel it's that member/former member's right. So "generally left in place" isn't necessarily the rule of thumb.

Hi, I can confirm that this is still our current policy. If you would like to exercise your right to be forgotten you can make that request to privacy@proboards.com from the email address associated with the account you are looking to have removed.
