Well, it seems that Xfinity is eating us out of house and home, because it's demanding that we pay $250 a month for the Internet. But my father was having none of that, so we got rid of the Xfinity cable boxes and replaced the old Xfinity router with a new one, a Motorola one. So today I did a speedtest for our Internet connection speed, and it was just fine, except that our provider is STILL Xfinity. I guess some things never change, huh? www.speedtest.net/result/13222514571

Did you cancel xfinity? Or just change the router?
If you change the router, but not the service. Even if it's a Motorola one. The service is still xfinity.
So simpler terms.
You buy a phone, and you go through Verizon or ATT.
Then a year or 2 goes by, and you need a new phone. You get a new phone, but still service with Verizon or ATT.
You just changed the device. Not the service.
If you can get Spectrum. I highly recommend them. When I was in town. I had no issues with them. I hear their speeds are at the 500Mbps to 1Gbps.
Last time I had them. They were just getting 100Mbps. But I used them at 60Mbps in 2017. Lol.
