I remember when I came to proboards when Yuku shut down in 2017. I had just learned how to make my own themes at Yuku. But alas! They would not work at ProBoards. That is when I discovered the greatest Customer Service help team that I have ever had the pleasure of working with. I knew nothing and they helped to the point that I learned how to make skins for ProBoards V5. They taught me wonderful new things, like how to make beautiful multi layer themes, the kind I had on a previous board. I have been a ProBoarder ever since
Well guys, I'm back again. I have opened my V6 board, and I am totally lost again, but I am not going anywhere. I know you can help me again to make my board a beautiful place to land on. Right at this moment, it does NOT look easy. Thanks team. You're the greatest.

It looks like a lot of the plugin api documentation is still in progress, any timeline for when it will be more fleshed out?

It looks like a lot of the plugin api documentation is still in progress, any timeline for when it will be more fleshed out? Hi Texas! Was there something specific that you would like to see more fleshed out? Keys and hooks...and maybe a quick overview of what's different from v5. I still remember a lot of stuff from v5, so if there's a lot of overlap I may be off and running. If it's changed a lot, it would be nice to know. EDIT: Somehow missed this: www.proboards.com/help/docs/plugins-dev/api/plugin/keyI guess I was looking in the wrong section ("Developing Plugins" instead of "Javascript Api"). So, really just looking for hooks documentation. EDIT again: it looks like hooks aren't available, at least not on my v6 forum. Probably why there's not documentation. Edit again again: Michael Are there any developer guidelines surrounding key usage? I know in v5 we had limits around: 1. Max key size 2. Number of times we could update a key 3. When we could update a key (only on user click) 4. Number of keys per forum etc.

Hey Texas, Apologies for not getting back to you sooner! The next update to the Help Guide will include new pages on the Plugin Editor and Plugin Hooks. There are no new guidelines at this time. We do plan to increase the limits across the entire range but have not yet finalized those numbers. When that information is decided it will be included in one of the updates on the Development Blog. If you have feedback, or thoughts, or wishlist items related to plugins in v6 please join the discussion here! Additionally if you felt some part of the Help Guide could be clearer, through organization, styling, links, content, etc, we are always eager to hear that as well. You can submit feedback through the Feedback tab on the right side of the Help Guide or just by posting here on Support.

I want to help and give feedback but I'm not an advanced user, basically on my forum I've just added and organized the boards and subboards how I want them, added some plug-ins and changed a few colors in my theme. With that being said, the only feedback I can give is that it looks amazing and I'm really hyped about it!
The mobile version is a huge improvement from v5 and I know for a fact that a lot of members on my forums will visit more because of this, you guys have really done a great job!

I created a test board but when I clicked go to forum nothing happened. I can't remember the name I used for it either as I used random numbers.

I love Proboards, when I get some more buckaroos I will definitely contribute, so I just started reading all the v6 stuffs and really really liking the v6 forum and I like how you said it was a labor of love, I see it that way too. Thank you dear mods, admins, dear you out there.

I can't seem to find the features for creating a Forum or Category on v6. I've been looking over the Admin Panel for awhile now and nothing. I can edit existing categories and boards, just not make new ones. Could somebody explain how I do this? It's the biggest barrier I've hit since making the forum.

You can post queries about what may or may not be feasible to continue with until it or when the upgrade resumes. support.proboards.com/post/7319870/thread

I can edit existing categories and boards, just not make new ones. Could somebody explain how I do this? It's the biggest barrier I've hit since making the forum. There seems to be a bit of confusion in terminology here. For clarity, this is what we use here on ProBoards so we can align our expectations / understanding: - Forum (the whole website) -- Category (separates content groups) --- Boards (holds specific content) ---- Threads (individual topics) ----- Posts (user-created responses) So for clarity: 1. v6 development is on indefinite hiatus. I am not sure when you created your v6 beta forum, but it is likely better if you use a v5 forum (the current official release) moving forward. 2. if you really want to continue using your v6 forum (by doing so, it's at your own risk as there will be no bug fixes or feature development indefinitely), you can create a new category or board through your admin panel; on the left hand side is a menu, one of the options on it says "Boards" — clicking here will reveal a list of your categories & boards. If you wait a moment without scrolling, you'll see a button on the bottom right hand side appear on your screen that has a big plus symbol on it. Click that and you'll be able to create new categories and boards.

Incognitus - In the v6 Admin Panel there is a blue Help link at the top of the page. This opens up the v6 Help Guide to the section relevant to what you are doing. The home page for v6 help is: www.proboards.com/help/Like Kami stated: "if you really want to continue using your v6 forum (by doing so, it's at your own risk as there will be no bug fixes or feature development indefinitely)". So caveat utilitor.
