at least in the UK, it's been a hot one with a record breaking heatwave
ready to wave goodbye to it and get excited for the autumn and beyond.. halloween, bonfire, christmas, all fun events.
one more heatwave bank holiday and that will be it!

Absolutely!! Today, I'm spending time at the library with the craft group and I'll be making fabric Christmas trees. I'm so done with summer.

I feel like this summer went by super fast. Definitely not a complaint though, I live for fall and winter.

I always go in to town on christmas eve to look at the lights, listen to the choir do carols, and brouze the stores quite often, at christmas, our town has a little funfair set up, too- and though I doubt you'll get me on the rides, it is fun to watch the lights I don't have family, so like most years christmas day will be quiet. I'll have my christmas dinner by the tree and watch a good movie I think. something like it's a wonderful life or a christmas carol

I'm SO done with summer, it's been in the 40's here for weeks, I'm so done if it gets up to 45c here I don't know what people are going to do to keep cool. People have sucked Costco dry of a/c's and fans even at Walmart, none just absolutely nothing. I need to get rich so I can live up north in an igloo. They say cooler days are coming, pfft I will believe it when I see it.

It's actually nice to get a bit of rain here in the UK, the heat, offcial drought, everywhere with yellow dead grass. I went up the co-op earlier to get milk (About as British as you can get) and even with just a thin coat over a short sleeve shirt it was still muggy out though. Had to open my window because it's still not fully cooled down.
Autumn/Fall is my favourite time of year though anyways.

Temperature has started going down here, but not as fast as I would like it to go. The kid is out to school as of the beginning of this week, so things are a little less crazy around the house.

Very much so emilyd. The two things I love about summer in the British Isles are, the music festivals and my holiday home in Ireland. Despite having had the vaccinations I got Covid and have been stuck indoors for a while. It's been far to hot in SE England for that. I'm also looking forward to autumn.

I just came back from 2 weeks in London on Tuesday. When I first arrived, you guys were in a heat wave where it didn’t really climb past 85-90*F. I found it odd that everyone was freaking out and I kept hearing announcements to drink plenty of water. I had just come from vacation in Texas where it was 110*F just about every day out there.
I couldn’t quite figure out what the big deal was until later in our trip when it really cooled down to what I was told were typical summer temps. Then it made sense. As hot as it was when we first arrived, I felt right at home.
But I love the heat and summer, and especially the early part of fall when we get our Indian summer. 😃

I can't say that this one was all that awful as last year I got my diagnosis figured out that's still involving more tests, got stable good insurance for once, met a new few faces the worst part was fighting off drunk people other than that I have a brand new washer and dryer set coming with good monthly payments I can afford.
We can always be done with something but thinking about the positive things throughout the year is more helpful to me instead of the bad their is way too much of that as it is.
