He was never called Robert Coltrane. Real name Anthony Robert McMillan, stage name Robbie Coltrane. Although everyone knows him for his role as Hagrid you should also check out the 1993 UK TV show Cracker. A crime drama in which he played the lead, a brilliant criminal psychologist with more vices than Miami. Good stuff. RIP Robbie. |

I could not hold back my tears yesterday when I found out that he is no longer with us. This actor was my absolute favorite because of his role as Hagrid, a very caring character who was, in fact, Harry's father figure. I really loved this actor, very sorry to hear this(. Rest in peace, Robbie.
