If I were a tardigrade I'd move out from home Why live in the shrubbery when you could have a throne?

"Time still turns the pages of the book it's burned" Avenged sevenfold.😀 Me? Lots of favourites in every genre. Some, like many of my jazz ladies and gents, sing songs by major writers which are also covered by others. So, posting the lyrics wouldn’t help. Anyways, from the ‘ lucky dip’ of favourites who also write their own lyrics: “I can see her lying back in her satin dress in a room where you do what you don’t confess”

🎶Sossity🎶 - The same here. My musical tastes are very eclectic. There is not just one favorite, but many. Surprised to see Gordon Lightfoot show up here. Being that I grew up in Michigan, albeit sad, his song: The Wreck Of The Edmund Fitzgerald resonates with me. Lake Huron rolls, Superior sings In the rooms of her ice-water mansion Old Michigan steams like a young man's dreams The islands and bays are for sportsmen And farther below, Lake Ontario Takes in what Lake Erie can send her And the iron boats go as the mariners all know With the gales of November remembered

Apparently, he later tweaked some of the lyrics, due to some relatives (of the cook?) being a little unhappy with something. I need to Google that.😀 But, yes, I’m a big fan. It all started with “If you could read my mind” Sorry I never got to see him at one of his concerts when he visited the UK. He’s still touring in Canada, but he’s really very frail now😢
