If you are on a PC, you can select the emoji menu and then hover over the various emojis and it'll show you the shortcut. Here are a couple. I am off to breakfast, so I can't show them all. : ) = (obviously, without spaces) : P = : | = : ' ( = > : ( =

💩 I never knew keyboard emoji would work. Doh I'd sure like to know why phone emojis work, but you can't post a regular phone photo here that way.

I love how after 16 years of break from giving support on PBS one of my first ways of helping is to advise “search for poo” 🤣

I haven't got the poop option. can you not search emojis on your keyboard on your phone? Search for poo You can also bring in the Windows 10/11 emojis on your desktop by right-clicking the screen and selecting "Emoji" (Win + Period), like highlighting the kitty emojis, for example! 😻😽

💩 I never knew keyboard emoji would work. Doh I'd sure like to know why phone emojis work, but you can't post a regular phone photo here that way. Text is a first-class citizen in a document, and that 💩 emoji is actual text (just like the letter "i") which means it can be used anywhere text can be used without first having to upload it somewhere. Embeds such as images, Twitter, YouTube, .etc. first, need to be hosted somewhere on the internet so that the browser can then grab the content and display it on the page. The important part here is that it needs to be uploaded somewhere first or embedded using the data URI (which the ProBoards platform does not currently support) ProBoards created an [emoji] tag as part of the (now suspended) V6 project, which can be used right now in V5. It employs the emojione sprite to display it in case someone's device does not support the emoji you wish to use. All you need is the hex Unicode of the emoji to display it as an image: [emoji value="1f4a9"] would give you this . How to type emojis on non-mobile devicesText | Image |

Emoji first became popular on smartphones, but they’re just as necessary on computers. Chromebooks and Chrome OS tablets have built-in emoji as well. We’ll show you where to find them, and how to use emoji on your device. People might not use emoji as much when typing on a laptop as they would on a smartphone. Still, Windows and Mac include emoji support, and Chromebooks do as well. They’re easy to access whenever you need that little extra touch that only an emoji can provide. Chromebooks come in form factors with physical keyboards and touchscreen-only tablets. We’ll start with the traditional keyboard and mouse. Use Emoji With a Physical KeyboardFirst, your cursor needs to be in a text box. When you’re ready to add an emoji, right-click in the text box. This will bring up a pop-up menu. Click the “Emoji” option. A pop-up window will appear with emojis and a search box. The emoji categories are listed across the top as well. Simply search or browse for the emoji you want and select it. There’s also a keyboard shortcut introduced in Chrome OS 92 if you prefer. Press the Search/Launcher key+Shift+Space to bring up the same emoji pop-up window. RELATED: Like It or Not, All Chromebooks Now Come With Google Meet Use Emoji With a TouchscreenOn a touchscreen Chromebook without a physical keyboard, the process is even more simple. Begin typing in a text box to bring up the virtual keyboard. Next, tap the “Emoji” button on the virtual keyboard. As with Chrome OS devices with a physical keyboard, the virtual keyboard might appear as a floating window instead of a full-size keyboard. Selecting the button will bring up the same emoji menu as before. Select the emoji you want to use. Recently-used emoji will always show up first when you open the menu. That’s all there is to it. You can use emoji to your heart’s content on your Chromebook. They aren’t limited to smartphones anymore. How many emojis can you see?

I did not know this. It passed me by. Been struggling along switching to desktop view and back when all I needed was keyboard emoji's. 🤬
But now 👍😀
Thanks everyone. 🥰
