Is there a way to disable the ability of forum users to be invisible under the users online section?

You could try this code posted in the following thread. But bear in mind that it hides the option, so anyone that is currently invisible will still be invisible.

Riene - just an fyi that only the forum admin and those in a member group with the 'see invisible members' power enabled (usually staff) will see invisible members in the sections Users Online/Users Online in the Last 24 Hours. Regular members and visitors will not see invisible members listed.
