I have tried an 800,000 scoville unit liquid extract named Satan's Blood and Satan's Blood tastes like liquid cayenne pepper to me.

I wish I could find a good sauce that utilizes Carolina Reaper peppers.

I know, but like, they're expensive and I'm too afraid that the flavor would be terrible.

Anything spicier than black pepper is too spicy for me. Then again, some things that are labeled as "spicy" don't taste spicy to me. I'm not sure what's going on there.

I wish I could find a good sauce that utilizes Carolina Reaper peppers. I can't offer anything quite that extreme, but Melinda's Ghost Pepper and Small Axe Pepper's The Detroit are two of my current favorites. Melinda's has a scorpion one, but I haven't tried it yet. The key is getting a sauce that doesn't have extracts, in my opinion.

Hottest thing I have eaten was what looked like tiny pieces of capsicum, (bell pepper for you in the US) at a traditional Afghan banquet in kabul, Afghanistan in 1977 and I still have no idea what it actually was!
Second hottest thing would be the korean soup I tried in Singapore in 2018.

Sadly I have gerd so even taco bell spice level can do it in for me. Really bad acid reflux to where it makes me puke. One thing I'll never understand are the ones that think they're more "manly" because they can eat spicy stuff. I can do a dab of red hots which I've used to make my own steak sauce in the past.

That’s because ‘spicy’ isn’t a taste. It’s mostly related to the receptors you have in your mouth, stomach, intestines, and yes, even in your bottom. The taste of spice would likely be related to sweet, salt, sour, bitter, and umami. So it’s likely because you have a high spice/pain tolerance that the food labeled as spicy isn’t that spicy.

I think it also depends on what spices they are using. There are other foods that people consider mild that burn my mouth like a fire.

I know some restaurants make people sign a waiver before even attempting to eat it sort of a challenge thing. Some just have something to prove. youtube.com/shorts/HesCSLrLGbk?feature=share

Anything spicier than black pepper is too spicy for me. This is how I am. I've tried in the past to build up my tolerance because I feel like there's so much good food I'm missing out on, but I just can't seem to do it haha. I think the spiciest thing I ever ate was a cherry bomb, and that was when my dad made me eat one whole right off the plant when I was in middle school or thereabouts. It was not an experience that made me want to try more spicy things.

You don’t taste spicey heat. You feel it. It’s a sensation. As of late, I can’t handle spice higher than Buffalo Wild Wings Mild. I can’t even handle the Taco Bell Diablo sauce. I used to be able to drizzle that stuff all over. My mouth would be numb for hours. Now, I can’t even handle it after hitting 32. I don’t know why. It sucks. Also it completely destroys me due to IBS.
