I've taken it to myself to at least get one chapter a night in, currently I started reading The Inmate by Freida McFadden. I figure staring at my phone's screen all day is no different than picking up a free digital book to get my mind off things. This was actually the first recommendation that looked interesting. I know some older heads here prefer actual hardcover books, though can't complain about free. www.goodreads.com/en/book/show/61149872

I usually have several books on my "currently reading" list at a time. At the moment, in no particular order, I have: - The Cabin at the End of the World, by Paul Tremblay
- Eva Evergreen and the Cursed Witch, by Julie Abe
- The Lady's Guide to Celestial Mechanics, by Olivia Waite
- Sylvanas, by Christie Golden
- The Body Keeps the Score, by Bessel van der Kolk
I have a reading goal of 100 this year, though I'd like to get well past that. I've cleaned out my "to be read" pretty well, and I'm making heavy use of the library, as well as the Libby app.

I'm re-reading a long mystery series by Dana Stabenow about an ex-DA investigator who happens to be a Native Alaskan and her half-wolf, Mutt. It's a great series if you like mysteries that teach too.

On Apple Books It's called Seven Sins. About 4 pages per sin, depending on the story. Good read! I'm only 7% in as I just started, and I read for about 5 minutes daily. Tons of free books on the Apple Books app.

I just started A Most Remarkable Creature: The Hidden Life and Epic Journey of the Worldโs Smartest Birds of Prey by Jonathan Meiburg.
If anyone wants to add me on Goodreads, I'm Wildmaven there, too.

Might join eventually seems like a good library of free digital content. You can get a lot of free content, but you have to enter contests (usually) for it. I've not found any free books there. At least not authors I'm interested in. Why don't you start reviewing and start a blog or something? Then you can get some ARC's. I think this is what you need to 'friend' me if you do decide to join. dianne1 www.goodreads.com/user/show/1401819?ref=nav_profile_l

I am reading Red Mars in a paperback slowly! I am most of the way through it.
After this book there is Green Mars and Blue Mars by Kim Stanley Robinson.

I am reading again all the books about Harry Potter. it makes sense to try to read it again when you grow. many things are feeling different now I reread them again and got really irritated with how cranky/pompous Harry behaved. My favorite will always be the first book, as I love reading about characters discovering new worlds/ideas. After that, it just became another "let me get away from the bad guy" trope.

I am reading again all the books about Harry Potter. it makes sense to try to read it again when you grow. many things are feeling different now I was just thinking of doing the same. I really disliked the series when I first read it, but it grew on me after subsequent reads. I'm very pleased that I can get them through Kindle Unlimited.

I've been reading a lot of books about music lately. There's this series called 33 1/3 with books about different albums. Last night, I started reading the 33 1/3 book about Slint's album Spiderland.

I am reading again all the books about Harry Potter. it makes sense to try to read it again when you grow. many things are feeling different now I like reading the first few books, and I used to listen to the audiobooks when I was younger alllll the time when I was falling asleep. Great memories. Though the last few books I think are a little too... dark, maybe? If I reread them it'd be more situational. Kinda related, I was falling asleep at a friend's place and he was listening to one of the audiobooks too, and it was a part with Umbridge in it, and I realized instead of getting sleepy I was just getting irritated lmao.

I'm starting a series that I read one book of as a kid and liked. It's meant for young adults so I want to read the series to see if I think my kids might like it as they age. I like sharing books with them from when I was a kid. Some take; some don't, but it's fun to do.
