Moving a thread temporarily

Evening all.

Is there a way I can remove a thread from my board and store it until a later date out of view of my readers?

I knowI can lock it but this means people can't post on it as oppose to reading it.

I need to keep it but remove the thread in the link from view for a few weeks.

New forums come with a Moderation category and board which are staff only. The thread could be moved there and then back when you are ready.

If you don't have any thing like this. Create a board and set all the permissions to staff. Or if you do not want even other staff to see the thread, then mark all the board permission to "custom". With just the custom permission only the admin (forum creator) can see and access the board. Move the thread to this board for holding.
