A Personal Update from ProBoards’ Founder

Patrick Clinger I do feel like I should type out a little more detail so here goes.

I remember back in 2006 I just wanted to escape reality a bit. I was first introduced to message boards doing rp. Now that I'm a bit older I have grown out of them. Because of your software it really opened my mind on the possibilities and information and other communities out there. Not just proboards but the competitors as well. Proboards has taught me that message boards are extremely informative. As I never really did have the patience or know how or money (which isn't the biggest deal since the entire scope of it is free hosting) but money as in possibly hiring designers and what not to run my own site. Support is proof that a message board doesn't really need any fancy things to be a success. I've tried but either get bored or realize an idea might seem a bit lame.

I do hope it never goes away and we see some light of a new version. I may not get along with every user here. Some may see me as not being able to take others opinions well but that's not me I'm just a defensive person. But I would like to say thank you for all the effort and at least help you and your team has given. It's a shame I never got to see v1 be born and I retract but I probably would've been either like 10 or 13 at the times and our family was able to hardly afford cable TV.

I wasn't able to go back that far could be a mobile thing, it would be cool to see a v1 dedication board you could probably run or figure out how to make a look alike pretty easily for nostalgia sake.

Well Patrick, you started something very successful. Whenever a founder steps down, it is always because the founder laid out a foundation so strong that if something happened to the founder or they step down, the company would still be successful.
