Instagram links are not opening up in new tabs

If anyone posts an Instagram link the link doesn't open up in a new tab. We leave the forum and get taken to instagram and can't seem to go straight back to the post or thread where the link was by clicking the back button.

For example. This thread here has an instagram link. sierraexercise.proboards.com/thread/4738/captain-america-gets-sandbag-training

Which link are you clicking? I clicked the name in the embed and the amazon link and they both opened new tabs.

Are you using Firefox? I was able to replicate the issue in that browser where clicking the IG link opened IG in the same window - however I was able to use the back button to return to the forum. You may need to try adjusting your settings. Or maybe you have an extension installed that is the culprit?

Do you have a different browser to try and see if the issue still occurs?

Aha! I was using Firefox. I only see the url in the post when I use Firefox and the back button won't work from Instagram. I've just tried it in Chrome and I could see the Captain America picture without having to go to Instagram and if I clicked on it it opened up a new tab so that was good.
I'll try your suggestions. Thanks.
