Trying to figure out the difference in the two...
Why would there be a spike in both?

johnkenn - Pageviews: Any non-AJAX request made from your forum to a ProBoards server, and any AJAX pagination of threads, posts, conversations, messages, and members. This is the number used to track Ad-Free usage on your forum. Requests made by a member with an active ProBoards+ subscription do not count towards this category.
An AJAX request is just an HTTP request made by JavaScript code. Browsers load web pages by sending requests to the server using HTTP. Each time a page loads, a request is made. JavaScript code can do the same thing, but without needing to reload the whole page
Forum Requests: Any request made from your forum to a ProBoards server, except the Maintenance Mode splash page or Shoutbox refreshing. An increase in user activity can cause a spike, as well as bots (like search indexing bots). Do you notice more activity than normal on the forum?

So forum requests are more important than pageviews? I'm new at being an Admin so I'm just trying to understand this.

ghost2 - The data that already displays on the home page in the "Forum Information & Statistics" section is probably the most meaningful (IMHO) for members. It lists number of members, threads, and posts on the forum, as well as number of members online. Analytic info is a bit dry and doesn't mean much to non-staff. Take pageviews for instance. This number only really means something if the forum is subscribed to Ad-Free as it helps the admin/staff track usage (Ad-Free is based on an allotment of pageviews tracked monthly.) Granted it does offer a measure of forum activity, but frankly 1,000 pageviews could be 2 members refreshing a page 500 times, or 100 members visiting 10 different threads. Forum requests are any request made to our server, even for something as simple as clicking the like button on a post. And while forum requests (which include pageviews) do indicate forum activity, this is also measured by current users online and users online in the last 24 hrs as shown in the Forum Info section. Does this help?
