Forum URL: (private)
Participated button in the navigation bar is the only button that does not show the same active state as the other buttons in the nav bar.
As a workaround I added a custom Participated button (with the full url), to which the active style is applied as expected.
So, the only exception is the default Participated button where the active style seems to be missing whereas the hover style does work.
How come?

The participated button and those in the menu are wholly different in styles, by default. What would you want the participated button to do when it is active?

It's the Participated button added to the nav bar via Forum Settings > Navigation (Desktop). When active (Current Page Button) I want it to behave like any other Current Page Buttons (e.g. Home, Bookmarks etc).

1b5085 - can you please elaborate more on how it's not behaving like the other buttons.

Settings for 'Current Page Button' (Visual Editor > Header (Top) > Navigation Bar > Current Page Button) seem to not apply to the default Participated Button in de navigation bar when it's checked in Forum Settings > Navigation. It does work for custom added menu items though. So as a workaround I added a secondary Participated button with the url xyz.boards.net/threads/participated. But it's not working for the default /threads/participated.

1b5085 - AFAIK the original concept was to not have Participated in the navigation menu. If you noticed, in the navigation options Participated was only ticked for Mobile. The desktop version of the software has the Participated button (to the right of the navigation tree). Participation was designed to be a member's choice whether to display or not. Since the mobile version is limited in space, in lieu of having a Participated button, that option was added to the dropdown navigation. tl;dr, the default Participated is coded and reacts differently than the rest of the navigation menu items. However as you figured out, you can easily disable the default and add your own entry which then takes on the same behavior as the other navigation menu buttons.
