If you're looking to embed social media posts, ProBoards can do that for you for most sites without that plugin by pressing the button. The description is quite clear on what the plugin does:

Social Media Buttons description said:

This plugin will add social media buttons to your forum.

There's a settings tab to use to enter the full URLs to each one. Images are included in the plugin.
The background and border colors can be changed. This will float at the left side of your forum.

The buttons will only display, if the URLs are filled out. This way, you only have to fill out the ones that apply to you.

If you use multiple themes, you will need to edit which themes this plugin runs on (doable from Admin > Plugins > Manage > Edit button) and install duplicate copies of this plugin.

The plugin adds social media icons to your forum. From the images given on the plugin page, it'll be the vertical column on the left side that shows the buttons (which can be placed where you want it via the plugin's Style tab). Only the buttons you enter URLs for (in the plugin's Settings tab) will show up. The URL you set for an icon will determine where the icon will take you when clicked.

For example: if the Facebook icon is linked to your FB page, when the FB icon on your forum is clicked, it'll take the user to your FB page.

Thank you for your response! I understand that you’re not looking to engage in a debate, and I sense that there might be some frustration. I appreciate your willingness to assist. I still have a couple of specific questions about the plugin. Could you clarify how it integrates with the forum and what its main features are? Additionally, I'd like to know about the customization options available.

It's just an image like the one you have in your signature. Yours is left justified. His is justified differently.

I still have a couple of specific questions about the plugin. Could you clarify how it integrates with the forum and what its main features are? Additionally, I'd like to know about the customization options available.

It basically puts a vertical column of social media icons - but only the ones you have entered URLs for in the plugin settings. Customization (on the plugin's Style tab) allows you to change the background and/or border colors as well as using margin settings to place the icons where you want them.

I'm not sure if you know this, but you can click on the image on the plugin's library page. This will give you a larger image that you can see better. In the lower left of that image, you also have arrows to cycle through each image the author uploaded with the plugin. In this case, there are a total of 3 images. The first image shows how the icons look on the forum page (minus customizations done). The second image shows you the plugin's Settings page with URLs. The 3rd image shows you the Style tab, which is where you can set the colors and/or placement. If you actually have the plugin itself, go to the Settings or Style tab. Each option has a ? icon for it. You can mouse over that icon and get information specific to that setting.
