Time?

Creating discussion threads lately, this is like a question.

About how long does it take for you to make a regular tag, and how long does it take you to make a tag and actually add awesome and uber effects? Skin and interface signers can answer the question but with how long it takes them to make a/n interface/skin.

For me, long 10-15min for regular, probably 30min-1hr for an awesome one. =P

anywhere from 5 to 45 minutes for a sig.

For a tag (when I used to make them) took about 30min to an hour... depending on how much effects I would use.

A skin, for me can take anywhere between a day to a week, again depending on what style I'm using Glossy/sleek skins take me a day or two, they're fairly easy to do. More advanced, unique graphic skins (like the Born.2.Fly) took me about 2-3 weeks to get the layout correct, then a few days afterwards for icons and such. I also go through icons faster than I go through underwear, I can never make up my mind XDD

Full templates, oh gosh. Never made one (besides forums that I've designed templates for, but those are not premade). Take about a month for me?

I've made a web template/interface before, I've made a few actually. Nothing I plan to publish though Just for fun.

I meant Full template like a full ProBoard template, complete with all buttons, codes, etc. =P

Sigs usually take 5 to 35 minutes, while large pieces usually take 30 minutes to an hour, and web interfaces usually a few hours.

It's all worth it though, you always learn new things, especially with web interfaces. Experimenting ftw!

For tags normally takes me 15-30 mins to do something reasonably decent although I think I'm pretty efficient cos I normally end up with 40+ layers like that. I'm doing a webdesign at the moment and so far I've spend about half an hour on it and it's more or less finished although the finishing touches tend to take the longest - I'll probably spend at least another half hour on it. Not meant to be anything special though lol cos I'm doing it for free

Well sigs take about 15 mins while web interfaces take hours..

Prob. about 45 minutes on average for a tag. Hours for a skin, and that;s just main page.

I am not much into rushing my works. I work on it a bit, then I take a break(Music, Youtube) and then continue with the work again. Even a sig takes me a whole day sometimes, since I always try to make it as good as possible. (Not that I never rush)

I can't make sigs for my life as I like to stretch out things as far as I can on my larger images. I find the canvas size of a sig too limiting and it's not really ideal for the stuff such as photomanipulation that I like to do. A normal manipulation can take me anywhere from two hours to three days. It all depends on how complex the piece is, really.

Ive never tried a skin before, but if i did itll all be marquee tool -> fill -> apply style =P

A sig, hmm id say around 20mins only because i hardly ever try new styles so i know my style like the back of my hand =P
