Meant to Live
We were meant to live for so much more
It all started with the enslaving of the wolven and other natural kind. Humans had grown so envolved in their wars they needed more and more lives to end. So they turned towards the resources of the animals about their world. They captured anything and everything, but they had one fatal error. The creatures did not know they were suppose to fight. Nor did they want to. So they had all these beasts on their hands and nothing to do with them.
Have we lost ourselves?
Inhumane scientists, out for the money, set to work on any devices or medicine that they could create to force the animals to fight their enemies. After weeks and weeks of hard labor, one of the scientists hit the mark. Professor Nextin had tested a technological remote controlled helmet and a seryum that could bend others to do your will. Duplicates were made throughout the nation and designated to put upon all animals that could fight proficently. Top of the line standards and nothing else, but the helmets were not indestructible and had their flaws.
Somewhere we live inside
The seryum then was given out as well and injected into the enraged beasts. Now they could not even struggle against the controller's demands. The helmets were used for years in battles, costing many wolves and dogs alike their lives as they fought against other nations who too had found a way to control them. Never throughout the entire time did the devices come off and the seryum injections stopped. For without the seryum, controlling the pattern demands it could mentally disable the animals, but the waves of the helmet and the forced fighting and attacking supposed enemies created spots in their brains that made them delusional and many of them went mad and were shot immediatley.
Maybe we're bent and broken
Still this sick practice went. Until one day one of the maniac wolves, programmed to anilihate its foes, somehow overcame the helmet's power and ripped it's handler to shreds. Painted in his blood and seeming to laugh psyciotically it fled. Droplets of blood splattering off it's coat. The people went into a frenzy and worried that it might happen to the other canines as well. So they were locked away devices gone and the injecting stopped. Their minds still programmed as the helmet had done.
Broken
To destroy any and all who were or their enemies. All night and day they rattled, howled, barked, and jarred their packed cages. Not after each other, but the ones who made life for them a living hell. One unfortunate day for the human race the rusty and worn bars of the cage gave in and the demons went raging throughout the cities clawing, tearing, and ripping the shocked people to pieces. Blood covered the streets and the hundreds of demented creature roamed the world killing all humans and populating back their now twisted species.
No enemies left to kill, no limbs to rip apart, and no blood to satisfy their hunger. The large pack that had traveled together to rid the world of their creators now dispersed and climbed slowly across the globe. Two main packs were made and all of them pledged their allegiance to at least one, but the two packs were not alone. The few and the strong had secretly formed another society, another pack.
It's existence known by a small few who could be well trusted. It was to keep a weather eye out for a possible uprising of humans or war. The animals of it all belonged to the two main packs, but were still part of the third. They are the Sin Watchers. They are there, but yet not. They see all and yet view nothing. They are the protectors and wrong doers. They keep the peace and yet start riots.
The packs existed in peace, oh say, for about a day. Then yet again all hell broke loose. The prodigy of it all, cursed Calico, was on a spree. The waves were still momentarily effecting his brain patters and making him believe now everyone was his enemy. He then came apon a member of one of the packs. His mind had lost total control and he lunged at the wolf fangs bared and ready to rip it to shreds. Fortunatley the wolf, Fear being his name, saw the approach coming and dodged nimbly. He then took heel and ran to his pack lands. Sprinting into the camp, he sounded the alarm of a bloody murderer's approach.
The newly established alpha, being a bit too thingy, thought that Fear had been exaggerating and lit out to meet the so called 'murderer'. That must have been the stupidest decision of his life. The leader's brother followed him dutifully to his doom and watched on in horror as the crazed wolf easily sliced his brother. Jumping in and out with sweeping moving circles. Slashing across his body and dodging back out again unscathed. In a matter of minutes blood was streaming down the alpha's crown and flaps of skin and flesh dangled from his exposed sides. The victorious wolf then walked struttingly over to the dying male and whispered soft words into his ears.
Saying what was an inaudible death he grabbed onto the brute's nape, lifting his just inches off the ground he threw his body weight into it as he brought him crashing back to his death with a sickening crunch. The little brother of the loser gasped at the horrid seen he was beholding as his brother was butchered. Dazed and confused he took off into an incoherent run to know where and was easily hunted and brought down by Calico, but this wolf was not an ordinary pack wolf, he had been part of the Sin Watchers.
This rose as a important issue as the new pack was in desperate need of a leader. Quickly one to catch along, Fear volunteered and brought down any opposition to his leadership. The other pack unfazed by the bloodified death of their fellow canine. Carried on, uncautious and unwary. The Watchers were in an uproar about the loss of one of their members and Incubus, the leader, calmed them and listened to their outraged shouts of death and extermination about the 'hell hound'.
Meanwhile Alucard, the alpha of the other pack, was in a busy hurry. He had scouts and spies out among the other packs, forest, and ruined cities watching for any signs of a possible threat. He had them follow the one they called Calico, but stopped in this action as fewer and fewer spies returned and their decapitated bodies found just outside the territory. Rumors were now spreading that the dark, but stupidly brave had went out in search of the tornado of a beast. Hearing that his demonic spell was over and that his brain patterns had corrected themselves for now. They hoped they would join him in his conquest.
None knew what was to happen. The four leaders were always disappearing for days and never really paid attention. Was it the helmet's controlling waves still affecting them? Would they perhaps all go mad just as that one beginning wolf had been? Or would this all be for nothing just to end in a gruesome massacre?
