Forum URL: zapdoszulu.proboards.comEvening all ^^ It seems there is some severe issue with our site :0 I've never seen it before, and so far can only see it happening on this particular proboard. The Error is: upstream connect error or disconnect/reset before headers. retried and the latest reset reason: connection failure

Ah! I somehow never received a notification of a reply ^^; Thank you for the response Chris <3
Per user wouldn't be bad. There's never really a reason for any staff on a regular basis needing to post more often than once every 15 seconds. But yeh that all seems quite a hassle. Are you aware of any reasoning for why this is in the first place?
The plugin obstacles aren't a concern. It's all low-stakes fun games. The unfairness introduced by the staff vs non-staff is more impactful than some edge cases (not that this is a huge deal at all ^^). Would be an annoyance, confusing, and a hassle to require staff to change accounts just to play a game on a 1-acct per person site.
This addresses my question though, thanks again for the reply! Sorry for my delay.

Y'know how every member has a secret timer (like 15 seconds? for regular members and less or none for staff) before they're able to post again? Is there either A) a plugin to adjust this timer, or B) a way to introduce a wait timer on select boards? I have seen the Post Timer but that is not a wait timer -- it is an automatic submission timer which is the opposite thing. Example use, a fun competitive 'spammy' thread. Unfortunately it's unfair for staff to participate because they are not rate limited like members so inherently outcompete.

Ah! Good to know thank you. I never look at global account settings xD
A bit of a strange interaction. A plugin we have that adds a little icon to today's birthday accounts on the forum seems to respect the hidden setting set on the global account, and their forum profile does. Only the calendar seems to be an exception.
But not a big worry. Was mostly mentioning it in case it wasn't a known thing but it appears it is ^^ Now I can at least point to that warning text if any complaints come up.
Thank you for your time Scott! You have a lovely weekend.

So fast! Thank you for taking the time to answer ^^
Unfortunately that did not work.
I have set that option twice, and even disabled the whole calendar for a moment, but it still shows that member on the birthdays list. I've also cleared my own cache and refreshed their profile just in case it was just me at this point and they still have their birthday set to not show.

Forum URL: (private)
Forgive me if this is the wrong place. I was blind to a proper 'bug report' area/link ^^; This is not for v6.
We noticed today, upon wishing some members a happy birthday on our v5 forum, that one of them has their birthday marked as hidden but it still shows in the calendar. This isn't so-far an issue for us, but I know some people can have a strong feeling about personal information being exposed when they've set it to not be.
Hope y'all have a great long weekend!

Forum URL: zapdoszulu.proboards.comMerry Christmas & Happy Holidays! I know PB is closed today and I hope you are all enjoying some well deserved time off :3 No urgency on this request. It appears that sometime yesterday it has become impossible to include more than 1 person in a single PM as the search box for members just blanks out after you add the 1st person. It's the same issue reported by 2 others on the support home in the last hour. It was suggested a board reindex might fix this so just submitting our forum to be added to the queue. Many thanks in advance. Cheers!

<p>Is good to know Kami ^^ I didn't even know this was a thing you could request until the weekend.
The recent posts I mentioned in the initial request are showing up in search now so seems to be fixed. Thanks so much all!
Hope everyone has a lovely day.</p>

<p>Cool cool. If it is just a reindex fix, and it happens even periodically on an automatic schedule... this is an issue that has persisted over the years with bringing forth content from ~10 years ago. It'll be great if it's that simple I had always just figured perhaps our bulk was potentially causing issue. Which, if that's a thing, definitely interested in any processes we can do to mitigate that. Thank you Kami! ^^ And of course not in any rush for the admins; super low priority. Hope everyone had a great weekend.</p>

<p>Evening all ^^ I am curious about the forum search function. It seems that doing a search for a single board, targeting a single user, does not retrieve all of that users posts even if I narrow it down to the last week. For some I cannot say whether it's retrieving all or not as this particular thread search had ~1500 posts over the past week so manually counting is difficult... but there is one user who did post a few days throughout that week and 0 of their posts are discovered in a narrowed search. This isn't the only time we've noticed the search function not really working as well as we'd hope to retreive information across the years. It isn't terribly bothersome, but figured I'd finally inquire about it :3 Is there anything that can be done to make our search more reliable? Archival or organizational management of some sort? Or is this something that would be fixed with requesting a reindex? (if needed) Site: zapdoszulu.proboards.com**also apologies, the post editor keeps inserting the p tags</p>
