I'll have our systems team look into this further.

Do you also experience this issue on any other ProBoards forums which also contain visible advertisements?

Hi, weareallone. You would need to utilize Javascript to relocate the shoutbox in a single location without affecting others. You can add this code to that board's headers to do so.

It's likely programmed on our end to behave exactly like the "new" icon next to a thread title on the desktop version of the forum which takes you to the first unread post in the thread but doesn't mark it as read until reaching the end of the thread. I unfortunately don't have enough knowledge of the backend of the software to determine if this is actually the case as I work exclusively providing tech support for the user side of ProBoards. This is actually exactly what I'm trying to figure out. Lets say there are 10 unread posts, I open it, read through all 10, and it still shows as unread...shouldn't it then remove from the unread posts section of the Tapatalk app? Yes, and it does just that based on my tests on your forum given that you refresh your unread posts. I've PMed you a screenshot showing a before and after, where the middle thread out of the three originally visible is no longer listed.

In addition to the above, you can just use relative URLs when linking to your own site.
For example, instead of: You could just use this:
This way if your forum ever undergoes a URL change or has a custom domain added to it you don't have to update all of your navigation bar links because the browser knows you want to navigate to that path on the current domain since no protocol was specified.

Thanks for the PM, cdutch. I registered an account on your forum and as far as I can tell it behaves as I've described. The only difference is most of my tests on my own forum were done in threads containing 1 or 2 pages. On your forum there are threads with dozens to hundreds of pages. Apparently the deal is you have to read every page of the thread before it's considered read. Another thing I noticed is every time I opened a single thread again it would open at the next page, and so on until reaching the end of the thread. This would support my observations as I've indeed read every response up until the point the thread leaves me off at upon next opening it.

I'm unable to duplicate this on my own device. My post was a description of my own results within the Tapatalk app.
A forum URL would be required for me to test this on your forum. On the desktop version of ProBoards Support you can provide a URL privately via the link at the top of the thread above the action bar.

kordarus, I've confirmed your ownership of the forum and have now transferred it over to peglegpete. If you wish to continue participating on the forum you'll need to do so from a different account as the main admin account is now under their global account. peglegpete: You can click on the icon on the bottom right of the forum to switch between your original account and the main admin account.

Hi, komi59. If you're referring to adding your own advertisements on the mobile version of the forum this isn't currently possible as it's not possible to alter the layout of the mobile version of the forum in any way.

Hi, cdutch. As far as I can tell the thread remains unread until you've viewed all of the posts within it. Opening an unread thread and tapping the double arrows to scroll down to the last post, then going back and refreshing the unread threads removes them completely from my unread list, versus just viewing the first few posts which causes the thread to remain.

Only in older threads not already marked as falling. If you were to create a new thread falling would be enabled in that thread and new posts would not move it to the top of the list.
