Board URL: www.psrv.co.ukProblem: More a query than a problem. Is it possible, to say, have a side box with a rss feed from another site in. I.e. since my site is a gaming community I wanted to know if I could add a side box, then have a feed from a E3 site so gamers could find out the latest E3 news easily on my forum.

I'm sure it would work, what feed are you trying to embed on you page?

As long as they provide an HTML/Javascript code for you to use, you can put it on your forum's headers / footers. Have you signed up for their feed? If yes, do you have the code they provide for you to add it to your site?

Well I added it to google page, but I saw no code. What did you add to google page then? The thing is, i can't really help you get what you need to add, to get the feed. You will need to contact the provider of the feed for the relevant code(s) you need.

www.e3feed.com/rss.xml At the top it says "Subscribe to this feed using:" then a drop down box that has google, yahoo, etc in. Ok, i'll look into contacting the provider.

Subscribing to is different to displaying a copy of the feed on a website.
Basically, the page you were looking at is/was the feed, and you are subscribing to it to get updates when it updates.

Ah...well I've managed to find a widget that the makers of E3feed allow you to feed from their main sites feed: www.gamebump.com/ however it's caused the side boxes to stretch. Edit: n/m I figured it now Another edit: or not For some reason something that looks stretched on FF3 doesn't look stretched on Opera.

It should be the same width in both. Could you take a screenshot of how it looks in Opera, as i don't have that browser installed

Here's a comparison image: As is shown, on FF3 the boxes are stretched (the spaces on either side of the shoutbox show this), where as on Opera there is little stretching.

Ok. The code has two different widths declared. Which width did you actually want it?

Ah, turns out I hadn't. That's solved the problem, thanks.
I re-entered the dimensions into the widget maker and got the code again. That sorted it.
