For the last few months, members have been reporting and complaining to me that they have been banned and want to know what they did. I didn't ban them. Some of them logged out and logged back in with no problems. Some of them still can't log in. Some can log in somedays and other days, they have no luck. They don't get a "too many connections" error, it's all about supposedly being banned?
Can anyone tell my why and what can i do to calm them down and help them? Thanks in advance.

Have you banned anyone by their IP address ? If so, several people logging on with similar IPs could suffer the ban. Check these members profiles to see if they have similar details.

Could they be using the same ISP? Depending on who they are using, it could be when they are accessing your forum, they are being assigned the same IP by their ISP.

I suppose it is possible, but do you think it is? They all live in different states and i think one of them is from Sweden too? I tried to find the "banned" IP address, but i am not sure where to look. Can i still find it? thank you for your help!

Admin CP --> Manage Members --> Ban Member
There you'll find a list of banned members, along with the option to ban more members.

I used to have this problem. Make sure they're accessing the forum with the /index.cgi attached at the end.
If that doesn't work, check their most recent IP against any IP's in your ban-list, even ranges (e.g. "72.*.*.*")
