tl;dr version: Our servers were under a massive DDoS attack. Our staff and the fantastic staff at our data center helped mitigate this attack; forums are now back online and functioning.
We are aware of problems loading forums at this time. There appears to be a large amount of packet loss in our network. We are looking into the issue and are working on a quick resolution.

It appears that the problems we are having is stemming from a network failure with our hosting provider. We are attempting to migrate our load balancer to a secondary machine to route around this network failure.

A technician from our hosting provider is currently looking into the packet loss issues.
We are still working on our end to expedite everything as quickly as possible.

We are currently investigating the possibility that our servers may be under a DDoS attack. When attempting to bring up our secondary load balancer service was promptly blocked again.

We have confirmed that this outage is the result of an extremely large DDoS attack targeting the ProBoards servers. Our staff is working to mitigate this attack to get forums back online.

We are still working on mitigating this DDoS attack. To give you an idea of what we are experiencing, here is our bandwidth chart showing inbound and outbound data to our server. The large spike in inbound traffic is what is preventing forums from loading at this time.  |

We are working on blocking this attack right now. We have a plan in place and are working closely with the data center which hosts our servers to block the attack.

We are starting to see the start of the benefit of our efforts. Some of the attack has been blocked and I have been able to load a few forum pages. This should continue to improve over time (right now I'm able to load forum pages about 1 in every 2 pageviews).
Our staff and the data center staff is continuing to work on mitigating this attack.

We are still working to mitigate this attack. Again, some forum pages may load for you, others may not. You can always try to hit 'reload' try to again and the page may come up.
A large portion of this DDoS attack is still hitting our servers.

We are still working on mitigating this attack. We are blocking nearly 400Mbps worth of traffic from this attack and we are working on blocking more.
At this time you may have intermittent access to your forum. If a page fails to load, you can hit reload and may get your forum page to load.
