Hi,
You can add additional HTML / CSS on your forum by visiting the headers and footers area of the admin panel. Unfortunately though at this time, the default HTML / CSS for the forum cannot be directly modified. Our upcoming v5 software update will allow you the ability to do this, however there currently isn't a time table set for when v5 is expected to release.

You don't need direct access to the HTML to change the look of the forum. Have a look at this forum or this forum as just a couple of examples. Neither of these forums have direct access to the forum's HTML either, but as you'll notice, they both look drastically different from the standard ProBoards look. You can use HTML / CSS / Javascript in the headers and footers area of the forum to put in your own codes, what you do there will overwrite the stock coding used by the forum software

Hi, Thank you for reply.
Im confuzed that CSS i'll add to header and footer would override the default one but how html i add to header/footer would override default one? Wont it duplicate?
Thank you.

It wouldn't duplicate. Basically the HTML / CSS of the default system loads on the forum first, and then the web browser loads the codes that you have provided in the Headers and Footers area of the forum; so the CSS you provide there will overwrite what was used by the default system. For example, say you wanted to change the background color of the category titles on the main page of the forum. If you use the following in your main header: <style type="text/css"> <!-- .catbg { background-color: #000000; } --> </style>
It will make the background color of the categories black, rather than use the default color that is currently set on the modify skins page in the admin panel

It wouldn't quite work like that, I believe you would have to work with the class that's currently set for the element to make changes to it. One thing I would suggest though would be to make a new thread in our code requests and support area. The coders that post there have a ton of experience adding their own html / css / javascript to ProBoards forums and may be able to provide some tips on how to implement something you're looking to do

I'm afraid not. Everyone in the code support area visit on a volunteer basis, so it might take some time for a response. Just check back every now and again
