I have a very successful message board with a ton of activity. Recently friends have suggested I sell add space. I assumed that it would be add space sold on my board.
My question, can I sell add space on my board?

My question, can I sell add space on my board? Hi You can do so. However, you'll need to purchase adfree, if you've not already done so. You'll then need to make it clear that the ads' and the revenues are not affiliated with Proboards. you'll also want to ensure that the advert is in line with Proboard's community guidelines and terms of service.

Once I have made my site add free where do I place the adsense code? I see no place for it? Bare with me, I am not as computer savvy as I would like to be. In fact I can be described as Technically Challenged. My board got huge because of my hard work and a dazzling personality. I wouldn't mind doing this via PM because I am pretty sure that I will need to be walked through this. <sigh> My self taught computer skills are sometimes lacking and that is frustrating. I am 50, never had a computer class and am a 30 year plus hairstylist.

Hi Simply copy and paste the code in the headers/footers part of your forum. It found in your admin panel: You can place the code in whichever header/footer you choose. So, for eg, If you want the ads' to show at the top of your forum on every page, put the code in the global header.

Me again, I am on review for a week with the add site which is normal while they check out my site for content. Meanwhile I create two add boxes as is required by the site. I cut and pasted one code in the header and one code in the footer. I did get a message that I created the add boxes successfully.... The add site says I should see blank boxes that blend into the background of my board but will not take away from a visitors experience. The blank boxes will be there for about a week or until the add site approves me. Here's the problem. I am not seeing those blank boxes. I put the codes under all my other codes for my board on both the header and the footer. Did I do something wrong?

Hi, That sounds like something you would want to ask the company you're working with about. Since they noted that the boxes are blank and blend into the background, and won't disrupt your users viewing experience, that to me tells me that they are meant to be invisible and not noticeable by you. But that's what I get from it; you would want to check with them though just in case

Ok thank you for your help the adds were installed this morning. I now would like to know where I should put the proboards disclaimer for the adds that would be acceptable to you?

If you have an 'about this forum', a 'general', or a 'welcome' board on your forum, a simple sticky topic in one of those will do. Even in an existing guidelines or welcome type thread will do. Just as long as it's written somewhere on the forum in case a member on your forum has an issue with the ads, they'll know to go to you about it since we won't have control over your advertisements
