I'm not very experienced with administering forums, and I just started one here.
My members have asked for certain features common to other places. In particular, they have asked for a way to identify NEW posts in reply to their posts.
I would also like to know how to activate the members registration for them. Can I have thee website send their activation key to my email?

Greetings,
In regards to new posts, clicking on the "new" icon next to a thread subject (or clicking on the thread name in the recent threads box, like the one here on support above) will take you to the latest post.
In regards to activations, activations are designed to confirm that the user own the email address they provide. If you wish to make activations not required, you can do this from your general settings. If any members are having trouble receiving the activation email, you should direct them here.

OK, thanks. But the specific question was seeking new replies to a person's post, as opposed to new replies to a thread. Can I get that feature?

Apologies for mis-understanding. Unfortunately it is not possible to get the replies to specific posts, because there is no way to tell what is a reply to a specific post.

Some forums have the ability to notify by email when a new reply to a post is made. A link is sent to the original poster's email address and clicking on it, takes them to the new reply.
I don't think this facility exists with ProBoards.
You can only do it by selecting the option in Prefences to have notifications of new PMs sent to you.

Hi You can get notification for replies to topics you want it. On ProBoards you have the feature. You can add a topic to your bookmarks by clicking on the button within the topic, or by selecting the tick box on the reply page. You can view your list of bookmarked topics via the View Bookmarks option on your profile page [Profile >> view bookmarks]. By default, you will not receive notification of replies to your bookmarks, however, you can change this. You can opt to receive notification of replies by PM, email, or have no notification at all. This option can be changed via the manage bookmarks link which is on the bookmarks page. You can also delete your bookmarks from this page. Hope that helps
